BEAUTIFUL BUZZZ

THOREAU - GOD'S PLAN (REWORK)

Mike DooseComment

Thoreau is no stranger to us here at Beautiful Buzzz. From tracks like his Paramore and Green Day 'Thoreau-Backs' to his more recent originals, the Colorado producer has made his style known. Now he takes on Drake's latest track 'God's Plan' by making a cover/remix that gives it a whole new energy while still capturing that Drake sound.  With the huge synth drop that we have come to love, with the crisp percussion, this track will have you singing and dancing along from the time you hit play. You might even realize some different lyrics such as "I only love my cat and my snowboard i'm sorry"...if you pay attention in the second half.

GHASPER - LUVN U

Music, Original Mix, EPMike DooseComment

Ghasper is a name familiar to many in the electronic music space, particularly among fans of intricate instrumental production and forward-thinking sound design. He just released his debut EP Mima which I listened to all the way through twice on my flight to New York last week, and let me tell you—it is excellent. With eight regular tracks and six bonus tracks, it's really more of an LP, and I'm not complaining.

While it’s difficult to pick a stand-out track, “Luvn U” is one that stuck out for a couple reasons. Percussively, Ghasper utilizes unique rhythmic patterns and sounds that surprise and delight. He allows each primary instrument to feature the melody at different points in the song. Sometimes it’s the chopped vocals, other times it’s the massive side-chained synthesizers, and at times it’s what sounds like a malleted percussion instrument. Each instrument tells its own story, and they work together gorgeously. Do yourself a favor and peep the whole Mima project on Spotify and revel in the talent that is Ghasper.

[PREMIERE] VENESSAMICHAELS & HOLLY - REAL ONE (FEAT. OUTLAW THE ARTIST & EFFY)

Music, Original Mix, PREMIEREAlli LindseyComment

Taking the cadence of modern hip-hop and blending a sensual, feminine prowess into its roots, VenessaMichaels and Holly just teamed up to drop the week's freshest track. "Real One" features Bronx-born experimental MC, Outlaw the Artist and female vocalist, Effy. Combining rhythm and blues with down-tempo, avant-garde production, "Real One" is punctuated by urban influences and unfettered steeze. The girl power is poignant in this piece, as it radiates a coolness only manifested from the creative energies of female collaboration. Outlaw the Artist rounds out the track while he spits buttery bars over the sensually chopped production. "Real One" is an element of its own- chrome, fluid, and atmospheric with a complete sense of identity. Smoky and chic, this is a piece you don't want to miss, catch us bumpin' this all weekend.

PRINCE FOX - OPEN INVITE

Music, Original MixErin MaherComment

It's Friday y'all ... and all I really want to do is get through this last day of work and then do hangs with my friends. One of my best friends is this little muffin right here ... and even tho we live in different cities and only get to see one another a few times a year, we manage to keep that love bond strong. Prince Fox is no stranger to writing rad future pop songs, but for this new original track "Open Invite" this LA producer is also singing.  He admits it took a while to get comfortable with his voice, but I am glad he did because it sounds great! "Open Invite" has all them Prince Fox vibes we love, deep future dance grooves under bassy beats ... swooning! You can buy or stream this bad boy HERE

XUITCASECITY - NEED SOMEBODY (ELLUSIVE REMIX)

Lindsey OhComment

With the identity behind this mysterious alias, Ellusive, still being unknown they are certainly staying true to their name. While they might not want people to know who they are personally quite yet, their music has been continually growing, along with the suspicion of who this just might be. Now, Ellusive is starting 2018 off strong with their first release which comes as a remix of Xuitcasecity's 'Need Somebody'. The track is an upbeat treat that features a bumpin bass line, shimmering percussion, and vocal chops that will have you groovin through the rest of your week.
