MusicKelsey JamesComment

We’re living in a “Daydream” while listening to Slow Magic. Last Friday, the masked indie-electronic producer released the first installment to his project titled Dreams Pt.. 1. This double-single project is the first original from Slow Magic aside from a series of remixes released this year. The EP starts with the upbeat and pop-fused “Daydream” featuring Julianne Hope. Though it’s a lot more lyrical-focused than what our imaginary friend typically puts out, we are digging the infectious grooving melodies. Give it a listen now.

Music, Original Mix, PREMIERESara NatkinsComment

Kyle Braun is a 21-year-old producer hailing from New York who began releasing music in 2016 under the name Poorchoice. The project's first success on a large scale came when he released a remix of “Chateau” by R&B artist Blackbear in June of 2017. The remix currently has over 600,000 streams on his Soundcloud and has even garnered support from Blackbear himself. Drawing inspiration from acts such as Porter Robinson, Grey, The Chainsmokers, and Illenium, Poorchoice continues to shape his sound around catchy vocal melodies, classic house drums, all while trying to create emotion driven moments in his music. In 2019, Poorchoice has already released a plethora of music including collaborations with Veronica Bravo, Big Z and KVMO. He has many more collaborations, solo productions, as well as remixes lined up for the remainder of 2019 in what is shaping up to be the biggest year of his career so far.

SCARS - FEAT. LUNA GREY

Music, Original MixAlli LindseyComment

Following the exciting release of “Scars” featuring Luna Grey, producer and drummer COFRESI delivers a thunderous music video to parallel the wicked cut. Exploring a monochromatic pallet of white and grey, the music video follows the portrayed insanities of Luna Grey in a straight jacket. As she hurls herself about, falling in and out of reality, chopped vocals and electro-rock cadences oscillate her chaos. A sinister visual to a in impressive single, “Scars” has come full circle in terms of creative direction. Listen and watch today.

CRYWOLF - DRIP (MIELO REIMAGINATION)

Music, RemixAlli LindseyComment

Following the well-received unveiling of his widow [OBLIVION pt. 1] album, LA-based multi-instrumentalist and producer Crywolf is casting colleagues and new-found producers alike for his release of The OBLIVION [Reimagined]. The debut curtain call for the forthcoming remix catalog goes to Chicago-based producer Mielo. With three years of success under his belt, the versatile producer gives an 80s inspired treatment to “DRIP.” While the original joint was cut with geometric soundscapes and syncopated melodies, Mielo rinses out the track with a bit of buoyancy. A slow, narcotic intro complements Crywolf’s haunting signature sound, later blossoming into a futuristic network of punchy drum kicks and electrifying synths. A gritty film cascades atop echoing vocals, projecting colorful shadows throughout this dynamic remix. An immersive listening experience, Mielo’s clever sound design stands as the archetypal introduction to Crywolf’s The OBLIVION [Reimagined]. Watch this space.

Slow it down with GoodSexs lead single “Glow” from their forthcoming EP, coming soon. GoodSex is comprised of members Joes Domingo and Colin Tyler. For this track, the duo tapped both Genevieve and Trance Thompson for an effortlessly cool 80’s retro-fused sound; Genevieve’s vocals the true cherry on top to the groovy beat. “Glow” is something that all groups worked on collaboratively together, making this something super special for all parties. They want to remind “each of us to ‘Glow.’”
