HAAN808 - YOUR TIME (FT. THE CITRUS CLOUDS)

Lindsey OhComment

Haan808, who you may know better as his old name "HaanSolo", is at it again and this time with an ethereal beauty 'Your Time' (ft. The Citrus Clouds). For those of you unfamiliar with the 2o year old New Zealand based producer, he first got into music at the young age of 6 when he was gifted a guitar. From there he built on his musical knowledge and became interested in the art of sampling and electronic music. With impressive remixes from the likes of Mr. Carmack and Abjo to getting released on Good Enuff, Mad Decent's sub-label, Haan808 proves that his production is not something to be overlooked. As if all of this wasn't enough he now graces our ears with 'Your Time', which dances out of the speakers with punchy drums and atmospheric synths.  This track is a treat that sweeps you up into its crisp minimal production and gives you space to think. If you can't get enough, be sure to keep an eye out for his upcoming EP which will have contributions from the likes of Ta-Ku

FILOUS - ALREADY GONE (FT. EMILY WARREN)

It's no secret that I have become a sucker for filous. From his whimsical arrangements and lovely guitar that are entangled in each tune, whats not to like? The 20 year old Australian singer/producer finds himself following in the footsteps of some of the best from Flume to ODESZA, and with his 11+ HypeM number ones and a quarter of a billion plays on all platforms it looks like there is no sign of slowing down. Now the brilliant artist brings us his "For Love" EPwhich features 6 beautifully cohesive tracks that I could talk about all day long, but I will spare you all the paragraphs and tell you about my favorite track. "Already Gone" ft Emily Warren (which you may recognize from her song with The Chainsmokers) at times is a very light almost acoustic track, but then twists into a cinematic adventure that will give you all the feels. Once again he highlights what he does best with plucky guitars, a little light percussion, and of course Emily's incredible voice...and BOOM your new favorite track is born.

GAZZO - GOOD OL' BOYS (FT. AMERICAN AUTHORS)

It is October and it is snowing…yes snowing today in Colorado. So while snow is peacefully falling outside my window and the world starts to slow, I find myself keeping warm with some hot coffee and reminiscing with the guys of Gazzo and American Authors. For those of you who may be unfamiliar with the artists, they have collaborated before on their four-times platinum hit single “Best Day Of My Life” which achieved enormous success with over 40 million Spotify streams, and continue to steal listeners hearts release after release. However, today we are here to talk about their latest single “Good Ol’ Boys”, which was premiered by Billboard and released by Enhanced Music & Island Records. "Good Ol' Boys" is an uplifting and heartwarming track, that will leave you with a smile and a couple of memories that you might not have thought of in a while.  With smooth guitar riffs, playful percussion, and of course the amazing vocal from none other than American Authors, you would think that there is nothing that could make this track better…but there is. Not only did the guys knock out this tune but they created an amazing music video and as tribute to friendship, the record’s artwork features actual photos of Gazzo, American Authors, and their friends growing up. Bet you wish you had friends like these.

MAESU~ - OG

MusicLindsey OhComment

Ah, what a wonderful week it has been here in Colorado. The air is starting to cool and the once green landscape is now slowly turning into bright yellows, reds, and oranges, to announce that fall is indeed here.  Which leaves us with the perfect time to dig into some new music for the season. Building upon his successful releases “Left You” and “Aquimini”, Maesu is back with his smooth 7 track debut deSerVe EP. After taking some time to go through all of it, I was rather impressed with the body of work, but caught myself playing one track on repeat. “OG” comes as the third track on the EP and man oh man is it good. It features a minimalistic beat with sultry percussion which perfectly compliments Maesu’s voice and allows it to float perfectly atop. With such a exceptional sound and unique style, the future is looking bright for this promising artist.
