Ugh .... this is so good!  /ˈlo͞osid/ always seems to drop the sickest tracks at the perfect time - I've actually had this one on repeat for the last few days, and only just now getting around to posting on BB.  We've been watching this young producer grow over the past year, and we've pretty much loved all things he's put into the world.  This new original "Clouds ft. Rayce Jones" is a brilliant combination of deep bass future feels with angelic like soulful vocals over synthy melodies - yes please!! You guys can swoop this one from iTunes HERE!

In anticipation for this epic event we want you to get to know a few of our fantastic artists. Without further ado we present another chapter of...

THE GET BUZZZED ARTIST SPOTLIGHT: XYLØ

Q1. How old were you when you first started making music? When did it become serious?

I didn't start taking music seriously till I was 18 when I started working with Chase. - Paige

I was very young. Our grandfather is a jazz drummer and studio percussionist, he had me on his lap at the drum set since the day I could hold sticks. He gave me one of his drums kits when I was about 9. I remember playing to CDs like Rage Against the Machine, Weezer, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Green Day, Jackson 5, Earth Wind and Fire, Toto, Led Zeppelin.. I had played my first show at 10 and had my first recording session experience at 11 at Capitol Records. At this point I was hooked. I was strictly a drummer until my early 20’s when I got my first laptop and protools. This opened my world up to the possibilities of making music on my own. I eventually got into co-writing songs with artists and making a living getting my songs licensed in commercials and tv shows as well as composing music for adverts and major brands campaigns. This is what lead to Paige and I working together and creating XYLØ. I had asked her to work on a project with me for a brand and our chemistry excited me. Things just seemed to click. Things moved really fast and I ended up dedicated all of my time just to XYLØ. - Chase

Q2. Whether it’s a remix or an original, what is the first step you take when writing a track?

Sometimes it can be different, but usually I start out with chords on the piano and a rough beat. Then melodies ideas. And some ear candy stuff for vibe. Once this is down I feel like this helps with what the lyrics are going to say. The music almost speaks first and tells you what needs to be said and what the songs going to be about. - Chase

Q3. What is one of the best moments you've had so far in your career?

Hearing Zane Lowe premier our song Afterlife was a unforgettable moment. Besides that I think XYLØ in general to me has been the highlight of my musical struggle and journey. This is my baby and it's incredible to see the response we've got so far. I think it's amazing that I get to share this together with my little sister. - Chase

Q4. What is another BUZZZworthy artist that inspires you and why?

Chaos Chaos ‘Do you Feel it’. I really like the sounds and the production. Nice voices. - Chase

Q5. Of all of your releases, which one is your favorite and why?

America just because it was the first song we released a year ago and it's what started it all basically for us. Not knowing what to expect and then hearing it on the radio and #1 on Hype Machine was really exciting. - Chase 

L.A Love Song is probably my favorite because I love singing that song live. We were suppose to release a different song originally and then last minute we wrote this one and we were like “ we need to put this out asap” - Paige

This is a very fun day, because being able to bring you a Top 5 Summer Jams from someone like Goldroom is pretty special! This legend is one of our besties, and it's been such an amazing journey with him over the past few years! I actually debuted his live set at my SXSW show in 2013, and we've been together ever since! Legend! He's put together a great selection of discolicious deep house jams that will have us longing for our wild summertime nights! My latest remix and something I made with summer in mind. This is the kind of song I imagine playing at sunrise, right at the close of a night spent out with your friends. 

Bag Raiders - Magic Feel
This is my favorite thing that Bag Raiders have done in a minute. There's some transportation about the vibe here. Emotional stuff.

Janet Jackson - Pleasure Principle (Classixx Remix)
I do boat parties during my High Seas Tour every summer and I think I played this excellent Classixx rework at pretty much every party last year. 

Elohim - Xanax (Moon Boots Renmix)
I've tried writing songs called Xanax more than once. They never work out. This one did.

Fred Falke It's A Memory (Oliver Remix)
Two of my bigger production inspirations on one song together. There's something special about driving around with this song blasting.

Good morning world! I'm currently running 2 hours behind in life, and as I kick off this busy day all I'm really hoping is that I don't get washed away from all the rain and flooding happening in my little NorCal town!  How lucky are we tho, because our besties over at Perfect Havoc handed me this tasty premiere of "Say You Love Me ft. River" from British duo PJU! It's deep house heaven, and I love it! PJU release this new original with the sweet and soulful vocals from River over synthy melodies and funky dance beats ... it's the perfect vibe with all the good feels! ILLENIUM - TOP 5 SUMMER JAMS (LOW TICKET ALERT)

Guys! Our Illenium + Said The Sky show in San Francisco on May 14 is almost sold out! These tickets went so fast! I'd definitely swoop them now before they are gone! 

Illenium is pretty much everything right now!  A few weeks back he released his full length album Ashes which is packed full of the most dreamy future feels anyone could ever ask for! He's also announced a big spring tour which is selling like crazy - and we are psyched to be a part of it all! Today Illenium offers up his Top 5 Summer Jams for us to vibe out with! 

Ember Island - Need You (Gill Chang Remix) 
Ember Island is one of my favorite vocal groups right now.  The vocalist is like a mix of Ellie Goulding and Purity Ring and Gill Chang absolutely crushed this remix.  Love the intricacy and vibe.

Mako - Way Back Home
This has been on repeat for the past 2 months.  Mako is so awesome at creating an intense and organic atmosphere and these vocals and harmonies are absolutely perfect

Mitis - Foundations ft. Adara
Mitis has been a favorite of mine for a while now and this new original stands out to me as one of his best tracks.  The intro and vocal bring me in immediately and the drop is super unique.

Evangeline - My Kingdom (William Black Remix) 
Will Black is on the come up and has been putting out super solid remixes recently.  I love the groove on this one and the vocal chop is money.  Some of his unreleased stuff is amazing too. Definitely check him out.

Tommy Trash - Luv U Giv (NGHTMRE Remix)  
NGHTMRE is one of the most consistent producers I know and this remix is so sick.  I love the old school vocal vibe mixed with his future bass sounds.  Always love hearing his new tunes.

ARDENCY - RACES

Things around the Beautiful Buzzz office are nothing but crazy hectic!  One week out from SXSW is the worst time ever - which is why I do so much night blogging around this time of year - because the middle of the night is the only free time I can find!  I also feel like if I don't talk about some of the tracks that came out today, I never will -- and this one is not one I can't pass up!  We love the Ardency boys! Every track this electro indie house duo produces is bananas good - and super sexy with a slightly dark and edgy sound, or in other words all things delicious! This is the second single from their forthcoming Mechanism EP, and you guys can grab this new Ardency track as a free download HERE for a limited time! 

BEN PHIPPS - ALIVE FT. ASHE

Ben Phipps just dropped a killer tune! This Swedish producer is new on our radar - we've been keeping an eye and an ear on him since last fall and loving all the music he's creating.  Today Ben Phipps hands us his latest original "Alive ft. Ashe" that is absolutely beautiful.  This indie house producer blends Ashe's dreamy vocals into a fantastic electro-pop jam that has us singing along - love it! And we should congratulate him on just signing to CAA as his US agency -- now he's got a fancy agent and we can start to get some US shows from this legend!  Can't wait to see what he has in store for us next! You can grab this as a free download HERE!  

[PREMIERE] AUTOGRAF - SLOW BURN

I am super excited for this next premiere - it comes from a group of dudes we've been supporting for quite some time.  Autograf are releasing their Future Soup EP on Friday, and "Slow Burn" will be included on that record - so we just wanted to give you a little taste of what you'll be getting at the end of the week! This track has that classic Autograf sound that we so love, electro dance with a dose of chill pop and a deep groove  -- all the feels! Autograf are just finishing up a massive US headlining tour with their live set - and the feedback we've been getting is they slayed to packed houses every night!
