BUKU - I DON'T THINK SO

Music, Original MixSara NatkinsComment

Buku is a Pittsburgh-native musician with an eye for warped, out-of-this-world bass. Following an impressive debut on Liquid Stranger’s label WAKAAN, Buku returns to the heavyweight label with his single “I Don’t Think So.” Following “What You See,” the title track to the subsequent EP which garnered praise from tastemakers across the EDM atmosphere, Buku returns to the forefront of bass music with “I Don’t Think So.” The track boasts an unrelenting and consistent trap beat that falls into hair-raising festival-ready drops. Another breakneck get down from the hardworking producer, “I Don’t Think So” is the first look into another Buku EP slated for release later this year.

NOYA & SOME DIE YOUNG - BLACK 'N' BLUE

Music, Original MixSara NatkinsComment

Where the revolution meets dubstep, Noya and Some Die Young’s collaborative effort “Black N’ Blue” is a manifesto on condemning police brutality. The track was released via Warpaint Records, a politically-driven record label focused on social justice issues, veteran advocacy, and other issues that run rampant in our society. “Black ‘N’ Blue” is fearless in both its production style and message. The dubstep cut is infused with hard-hitting rap verses courtesy of rapper Gravity. Layered with crescendoing bass work and fiery-as-hell drops “Black ‘N’ Blue” transports listeners from the inner-workings of their headphones to the front row of the mainstage. A gritty track that is certain of itself and goals, “Black ‘N’ Blue” is about the unspeakable acts of cruelty committed by police in our society. Listen to this chilling anthemic single today.

[PREMIERE] NIGHT TALES - ONE

Music, Original MixAlli LindseyComment

Back with their 7th single this year, Australian tandem Night Tales deliver “One.” A dreamy disco joint with alt-pop aromas, Night Tales is in tune with their signature sound. The track is steeped in sharp synths with mellow nuances. An easy listening experience tailored for any time of day or season, “One” is unapologetically true to itself. Although the track is markedly electronic, its danceability is confronted by blossoming indie vocal work. Groovy as hell, Night Tales’ latest is just as infectious as expected. Listen to this catchy cut today and watch this space for more from the budding hybrid-electronic tandem.

STANCE - ME

Music, Original MixSara NatkinsComment

An exploration of self-empowerment when hope seems lost, STANCE push to lift spirits in their newest single "Me." A sonic mirage of future bass, STANCE create powerful soundscapes of bright inspiration. Crescendoing synths set the stage from the get-go, wrapping listeners in a comforting blanket of bliss. Unfurling into broader synth work intertwined with a swelling kick, STANCE display their penchant for all things serene. "Me" is a reminder to look inward during trying times, and to find strength and solace in our own energy. FORESTER - UNDERCOVER

Music, Original MixSara NatkinsComment

Formed in 2019, Forester is a relatively new indie-electronic duo to the scene but has already seen a lasting impact on their music. The LA-based group is comprised of Xander Carlson and David Parris, both of whom write, produce and sing. Their music blends acoustic instrumentation with electronic elements that create a state of warmth for the listener. The tandem’s latest single, “Undercover” is a mutation of modern indie, pop, and electronic music, ornamented with small but potent production flourishes indicative of a set of artists fully in control of their creative output. That said, Forester consistently manages to gracefully ride the fine line between maintaining their style while at the same time breaking new ground.

[PREMIERE] LOVE LEVEL - BAD BYE

Music, Original Mix, PREMIEREAlli LindseyComment

Super-babe duo Love Level just dropped their ethereal bedroom-pop gem “Bad Bye.” A loose-limbed and lassiez-faire attitude this quick-witted indie gem is worth the replay. Despite being a relatively fresh face to the Aussie indie scene, the tandem is far from novice. Charming and spell-binding to boot, “Bad Bye” is intuitive and steeped in moody hooks. With a subtly electronic underbelly, this atmospheric-pop hit blends a series of musical elements to create a genre-bending success. Brushed with alternative strokes, this shadowy success is brimming with authenticity, Love Level is already a Beautiful Buzzz favorite. Tune out and listen to “Bad Bye” today.
