Thank god it’s Friday! I don’t know about you kids, but this week has been a doozy. I am experiencing a new emotion every 10 minutes … I guess you can say the stress of adulting is bringing me down. Best way for me to lift these blues is find the closest party and hit that dance floor on the deep end. I need that dirty deep house music … that kind that feeds your soul … you know what I’m talking about! This new Township Rebellion remix of “Visions ft. RBBTS” by Lane 8 is siiiick … I am getting all the feels I am needing. With heavy deep dark melodic melodies and ethereal vocals, this production duo wants us to get lost in ourselves and feel something. I love it! You can buy/stream this track HERE!

RÜFÜS DU SOL - TREAT YOU BETTER (CASSIAN REMIX)
Music, Remix, Live Concert, Event, ConcertComment“Treat You Better” by RÜFÜS DU SOL is one of my favorite side 01/track 01 jams ever. I know we really don’t have sides any more, but let’s just pretend we holding vinyl. So good! It’s energy and vibe is everything that’s amazing in the world. Lucky for us, our homie and Australian producer CASSIAN just delivered a delicious remix of said track and were swooning. This one is dance floor fire y’all!
Speaking of the dance floor - we have a show coming up with CASSIAN in San Francisco on May 17. It will be his debut headline live show at The Independent! Get ready for greatness - his life set is bananas good. Tickets are on sale now and you can grab them below. Hopefully I’ll see all you bay area peeps there!
KID CUDI - MAN ON THE MOON (NOKO REMIX)
RemixCommentThe LA-based electronic duo NOKO is back and this time, with their remix of the classic Kid Cudi track “Man On The Moon.” NOKO has been on my radar since their last remix release, which was also their debut, to San Holo’s “Lift Me From the Ground.” It’s tough to take on such a timeless track like this one, yet somehow the two do it and do it well. This future bass re-imagining is a nostalgic, yet new, exploration: a take that something both fans of Kid Cudi and electronic music can appreciate.
After this remix, the two have some originals in store for fans this summer. For now, give “Man On The Moon” a listen and soak up the almost summer vibes.
ALESSIA CARA - OUT OF LOVE (DEVAULT REMIX)
Music, RemixCommentFirst off, I’d like to sincerely apologize for not getting to this one sooner. LA-based DEVAULT absolutely crushes his freshly released remix of Alessia Cara’s emotive pop ballad, “Out Of Love”. The rising artist sets the theme using his signature retro brand. He infuses the original with nostalgic 80’s synths and energizing riffs that produce an incredible chemistry with Alessia’s passionate lyrics.
To better describe the track’s vibe as vividly as possible, envision yourself cruising down the Pacific Coast Highway on a cloudless day. You’re riding in a convertible, top down with the wind whipping around you, and you have absolutely zero worries in the world. Well that’s exactly what you’re going to be picturing the second the chorus kicks in - guaranteed. Highly recommend you listen to this on high quality headphones in order to truly absorb the full affect and I promise, it will leave you speechless.

MANILA KILLA - WAKE UP CALL (SLOW MAGIC REMIX)
RemixCommentSlow Magic is a master at creating fluttery and infectious rhythms over pounding beats. His discography reflects this, with hits such as “Girls” and “Waited 4 U.” Last night, he kicked off his tour with a brand new live set-up. To celebrate such a monumental occasion, he dropped his remix of Manila Killa’s “Wake Up Call.” I stumbled upon the remix totally by accident as I was deep into a Spotify search, and how pleasantly surprised I was! “Wake Up Call” is the second track on Manila Killa’s recently released album titled 1993.
Slow Magic’s tour is running now through May 4, stopping in major cities such as Orlando, Boulder, Las Vegas and more. To see a complete list of the cities he’s stopping in or to purchase tickets to a show, click here.
RL GRIME - I WANNA KNOW FT DAYA (JUSTICE SKOLNIK REMIX)
Music, RemixCommentOh man! Justice Skolnik has been on a tear lately. The Bay Area native has been ripping off amazing remixes all year long. We’ve covered his Disclosure, Lorde, Justice, and LSD remixes already, but his new one needs to be added to the list. He adds a sunny flavor to RL Grime and Daya’s hit “I Wanna Know” and I just love it! Get down to Justice’s latest remix and expect new originals from him very soon.

DROELOE - ONLY BE ME (DUSKUS REMIX)
RemixCommentDuskus returns to the forefront of the coveted Bitbird label with his remix of DROELOE’s “Only Be Me.” His take on the already amazing song gives it a bouncier, dancier feel. Duskus is one of the newer additions to San Holo’s Bitbird label, along with label-mates DROELOE. To be honest, there is not one release under the Bitbird label that I haven’t enjoyed, which speaks volumes on the quality of their artist’s production and skills.
Stay tuned for more from Duskus this year. He is an artist that you’re going to want to keep on your radar!
JUSTICE - D.A.N.C.E. (JUSTICE SKOLNIK REMIX)
Music, RemixCommentI’m always down for a good Justice remix … how can you not love every song those Frenchies have graced us with. Also, the fact that it’s yung Justice Skolnik putting his spin on “D.A.N.C.E.” makes this track all the better! Justice doing Justice …. oh yeaaaaa! This Bay Area producer has been killing it with one phat track after another, and this funky electro remix is a little bit dark, and a little bit sweet, and 100% rad! It’s Monday, the day is almost over, and this is a perfect time to have a dance party! Grab a free download HERE!

ODESZA - LINE OF SIGHT FT. WYNNE & MANSIONAIR (CHET PORTER REMIX)
Music, RemixCommentA year and a half ago, ODESZA released their monumental third studio album A Moment Apart. Since then, the duo dropped various remixes along the way up until today: the official A Moment Apart remix album featuring friends of Foreign Family Collective. Chet Porter is one of the featured artists on the album, being a fan-favorite from the FFC label. Chet is known for his beautiful, ethereal music, which he incorporates in his remix of “Line of Sight,” featuring WYNNE & Mansionair. In this remix, he stays true to the power of the vocals by WYNNE, but manages to add his own pop up-beat flair.
His music always seems to wrap me up in a nice warm hug. Give it a listen and see for yourself!
