Once again - Irish band The Cast Of Cheers have something worth talking about! I can't wait to see this band live - I hear great things, and I already have the new album and love love love it! Today they released a new video for "Human Elevator" - and I will never look at a ping pong paddle the same way again!

I have a total soft spot in my heart for Danish bands. My network of friends from Copenhagen are some of the sweetest people ever - Choir of Young Believers, Spleen United, The Foreign Resort - and so incredibly talented. Here is another amazing one man band from Copenhagen called Sleep Party People with a new video for single "Gazing At The Moon."
Sleep Party People is the brainchild of Brian Batz, a Danish multi-instrumentalist with a boundless imagination. Taking as inspiration the work of Boards Of Canada, David Lynch and Erik Satie, and some classic movie soundtracks, Batz found the sound of the old battered piano in his apartment, coupled with a freaky electronic alteration of his recorded voice, created an eerie, hypnotic sound.
New record called We Are Drifting On A Sad Song is out now in the US via Brine and Barnacles. It's amazing - I highly suggest picking it up!
I think yesterday every great music blog wrote about the two new tracks "Fetch" and "Taken" from Les Sins (Toro Y Moi’s Chaz Bundick), so I figured I should too. Besides, they are great tracks and everyone should take a listen. 7' is due out later this month via Jiaolong. “Fetch” utilizes a medley of samples to create a balmy pool of R&B
gusto while “Taken” is a seven minute diatribe on the synths. Both
dabble with sweaty, late-night house beats. Enjoy!
Chicago is on fire right now....so much great electronic/dance music coming out of that city! Mash-up kings The Hood Internet are going to be releasing their first album of original music called FEET on October 2 via Decon. This new video for single "Won't Fuck Us Over" is bizarre...... there is no other word to describe it. I have no idea what it means or where it's going or anything......but I know it's interesting and I could not stop watching!

I am a few weeks late on this release - but even though in some PR circles this would not be considered "new" - I don't care because it's great! Om Unit - electronic musician and DJ from London - has released his third EP called Aeolian via Civil Music on July 23. "Dark Sunrise" (feat Tamara Blessa) is one of the tracks from this EP - and I have been playing it on repeat for an hour now! It's really sexy and sad all at the same time, kinda intense....like a smooth intense. I am so into this!

They're hot, they're brothers, they're British, and they play dirty indie rock.....not sure it gets much better for this yank! Came across this family trio from Bath, UK today called The Family Rain. Love this sound....reminds me of my favorite hometown band Cold War Kids. They are just starting to blossom into this world of indie rock, and are starting off with a bang with this track.

I have been talking quite a bit about this Bristol, UK band this year - I am so in love with this tribal tropical electro dance rock sound that UK bands seem to have a solid grasp on producing - and The Other Tribe is at the top of the game when it comes to making you want to dance your ass off!
