KAILEE MORGUE - DO YOU FEEL THIS WAY (FEAT. WHETHAN)

Happy Friday kids! Here at B.B., our Fridays are absolutely sacred to us as we are greeted with an abundance of new and fresh music. One of my personal picks that I couldn’t pass up on is the new collaboration from steadily rising pop singer/songwriter Kailee Morgue and globally recognized electronic producer Whethan. In light of today being Whethan’s birthday, I figured there was no better day than today to share their single “Do You Feel This Way.” The track showcases the two's irrefutable musical chemistry through Kailee’s fervent vocals and Whethan’s evenly-paced rhythms that match the aesthetic set by the calm, yet confrontational lyrics. This one is an undeniable jam that you’re going to find yourselves putting on replay.

NVDES - ANYTHING GOES

Picture this moment in time: I’m sweating, intoxicated, and digging my own grave in the name of networking exhaustion at SXSW in Austin, Texas. It’s 10 PM at Austin’s historic Scoot Inn, and ThisSongIsSick is showcasing artists by the likes of Louis Futon, and Classixx. All I need is a lighter. I meander my way past the bar and find a stool to set up shop, I dig through my purse for my Turkish Royals, and a lighter. Naturally, I have no luck on the lighter. I glance around to find a seemingly “cool” human to bum fire from. I strike up conversation with a handsome fellow who aptly lends his lighter for my self-righteous use. As we continue our small-talk, I come to find he is a member of the creative collective that is NVDES, playing a show a few blocks away in only a matter of hours. We talked about fears, and creative struggles as I made feeble attempts to blow my smoke in the opposite direction of the masses. That was it. I moved on with my evening, falling victim to the beauty that is my down comforter, and didn’t think much of the aforementioned composers.

It was only days later that I realized exactly who NVDES was. The creative collective, led by Josh Ocean, is one of the grooviest, rising contemporary ensembles in the game. They’ve seen a slew of successes over the last 6 months alone, and their latest single, “Anything Goes” was featured in Spotify’s official “New Music Friday” playlist upon release. A rugrats-esque intro drops into a mid-tempo wave of groove, and chrome-like production. The lyricism is outlined to mimic the rhythm of hip-hop verses- conversational and idiomatic. It’s playful aura is inviting, and saturated with vibrancy. Their consistent, colorful aesthetic directly translates into, “Anything Goes,” as technicolor vibrations cause synesthesia, awakening senses beyond the obvious. KHAMSIN - MY WAY (FEAT. MOONZZ)

Bringing the sounds of France to the U.S, celebrated producer Khamsin returns with an indie-electro masterpiece, "My Way" featuring the vocal delicacies of Foreign Family's latest signee, MOONZz. Khamsin is a member of France's production super-group, Slow Hours, alongside rising artists such as Kidswaste, Astre and more. Recruited for remixes by the likes of ZHU, Major Lazer, and the Grammy-nominated Mura Masa, Khamsin is no stranger to the world's finest production. "My Way" blends thick drum cadences with future-bass melodies- the perfect algorithm for MOONZz' poetic lyricism to shine. Subtle walls of syrupy-synths cascade finely tuned guitar riffs, showcasing Khamsin's versatile, and dexterous skill set. Balancing indie-pop with bouncy electronic production, "My Way" is stand out single from the French visionary, defined by clean transitions and true artistic synchronicity. Take a ride with Khamsin and MOONZz on "My Way."

KULTUR - OFF TO GET LOST

France-native Kultur is most definitely one of my favorite up and coming artists of 2018. After he made waves - no pun intended - with his captivating release, “Ocean,” the adroit artist has once again crafted a piece that wields great depth and pulchritude. The title of his new single, “Off To Get Lost,” could not be more fitting as it's a spiraling musical journey that listeners will discover themselves getting lost in. Embellished throughout with shadowy vocal chops, the song enters with rounded percussives that advance to a rapid, quivering rhythm. The beat then intertwines with mystic, beckoning synths and dreamy vocals that paint a lulling illusion of being lifted off the ground. Possessing a track record of music as beautiful as his, I’d strongly advise you to put Kultur on your radar.

DIRTY CHIME - FRAGILE BEINGS (FEAT. SKELA)

LA-based singer/songwriter and producer dirty chime has joined forces with NYC's own singer/songwriter Skela for their enchanting new single, "Fragile Beings." Creating an unparalleled chemistry through Skela's celestial vocals and dirty chime's deep, resonating voice atop an exquisite combination of indie, soul, electronic and pop, "Fragile Beings" is nothing short of captivating. The track unfurls with a distinct down-tempo percussive beat that effortlessly intertwines with engaging tremolos and an easy-going melody, transforming into something one can only describe as an absolute beauty.
