Music, RemixErin MaherComment

Our sweet friend Manila Killla has dropped another phenomenal remix! Honestly, some of my all time favorite remixes have been from this Los Angeles base producer … he just gets me! His new spin on “Lune ft. Vancouver Sleep Clinic” by Kasbo reflects a step in a new direction as well as his emotional feelings from the past year … and I mean we’ve all been through it right? It’s deep and epic with vibes for days, I love it! WHETHAN - HURTING ON PURPOSE FT. K.FLAY (BIICLA REMIX)

Music, RemixErin MaherComment

I’m not sure if we have posted a track by a Russian producer … I could be wrong about that, but also could not be happier in doing so now! I’ve always wanted to visit Russia, and actually applied for a travel visa when I lived in Eastern Europe (Prague) back in 2005 - and was DENIED due to … actually that’s another story so ….. Hey now Biicla! This young producer has remixed “Hurting on Purpose ft. K.Flay” by our boy Whethan. Super bouncy, super fun, and K.Flay’s vocals are always so silky and scrumptious you can’t not love this remix. Biicla is a multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter producing some really great dance tracks - and even though he’s just getting started, his blend of pop-rock, hip-hop and house sound will leave you wanting more. LOVE THY BROTHER - MORE THAN FRIENDS FT. PRETTY SISTER

Music, Original MixErin MaherComment

I can’t tell you how much joy I had seeing a new Love Thy Brother track …. last time I was with this legend we ate chicken mole at this really fancy Mexican restaurant in San Francisco that also has a phat Tequila & Mezcal menu …. and we drank … a lot! What a great time! I have not seen this Canadian producer since … but like this song says “we belong together me and you” and I know one day we will raise a glass to each other again. Until then we have the music, and holy mac this track slaps! “More Than Friends ft. Pretty Sister” is a fantastic dance pop dream full of epic vibrant vocals soaring over disco dancefloor beats and bouncy funky melodies ….. beware because it may cause booty shaking! Miss you Love Thy Brother … keep the good good coming!

AVEC SANS - SLOW DANCE DOWN

Music, Original MixErin MaherComment

British electro pop trio Avec Sans release a new single “Slow Dance Down” that’s giving me all kinds of feels! With fuzzy melodies and gritty beats, this euphoric vibe hit’s all the right spots. Alice Fox’s vocals are so dreamy. She says, ‘“The song conjures the spirit of the dance marathons in Depression-era 30s America, competitions that went on for hundreds of hours with people clinging on to each other to stay upright in a desperate bid to win prize money.” Delicious! You can pre-order the album HERE!

ROOTKIT - SPARKS FT. CASEY COOK

Music, Original MixErin MaherComment

I’ve been searching for a way to come back to life … the world has us all discombobulated and I’ve been on a new self discovering journey with the massive changes facing all of us in the music industry. I’m finding my way back through my roots, and this blog is what started it all for me personally. Always look back to what you know to find your way forward, the answers are there. I feel this with new track from Norwegian producer Rootkit called “Sparks ft. Casey Cook” that is filled with massive vibes. Out now via bitbird - this is a story of looking relationships to figure out how to move on … "This song is about that stage in a relationship where you ask yourself if you should stay in it or not. There's a loss of connection, the distance seems to be growing by the second, and you start overthinking and reflecting back on arguments. But the second they light you up again and give you that euphoric feeling, you retract right back to being in the "sparks", completely hung up on that feeling and sensation they give you.” - Rootkit

[PREMIERE] BRISKEY - DON'T WANT TO TALK ABOUT IT

Music, Original MixAlli LindseyComment

Australian musician Briskey’s fresh take on dance-pop is an energizing treat to all who listen. His latest single, “Don’t Want To Talk About It” is a sanguine treat overflowing with colorful resonance. An explosive look into his forthcoming EP, this charming cut is ripe with patchwork synths and oscillating house frequencies. His crystal-cool vocals are both soothing and invigorating, working together like an uncompromising yin and yang. Anchored by a robust sax solo, this track evolves from first note to last. A careful balance between candied-pop and wicked-glitchy dance music, “Don’t Want To Talk About It” is a fantasy of sounds orchestrated by a multi-talented musician. Watch this space for more from the flourishing producer in the months to come.
