chasing luma - motions

Music, Original MixSara NatkinsComment

Canada’s own chasing luma is alternative pop’s newest act to watch. Prior to the creation of chasing luma, the breakout indie artist was producing gold-certified dance music hits. But behind his success across the dancefloor, luma was experiencing a disconnect between his life and musical works. Following a brief creative hiatus and a rediscovery of self, chasing luma emerged from the shadows a more fulfilled artist. At the heels of his debut single “bittersweet,” chasing luma is back with the sophomore single “motions.” The soothing new track is marked by his charismatic vocals and washed-out digital beats. An indie dreamer’s delight, “motions” is poetic, mellow, and downright charming.

A spectacle made simple, “Glitter and the Gold” offers a formidable listening experience as rich as a symphony. Her timeless voice floats instinctively through an agile, electronic-driven beat that bends and breaks at its own whim. Her poetic lyrical work binds to her crystalline vocal instrument like moths to a flame, creating a musical landscape effortlessly balanced. A spellbinding first look at the impending EP, “Glitter and the Gold” is already a classic.

ARIZA - KEEP ON

Music, Original MixMike DooseComment

Need a little chill #mondaymotivation? This Tuesday is more like a Monday for most after the holiday weekend here in the US. This new track from artist/producer ARIZA is as relaxing as it is relatable. Entirely written, recorded, and produced by the Colombian-born, LA-based musician, “Keep On” is minimally produced, but manages to say a lot about the artist. Describing the inspiration behind “Keep On,” ARIZA expressed how the song is “one of the most personal tracks to describe a musician’s life in LA. The constant ups and downs. The ego checks. The emotional and existential turmoil experienced. It’s an honest look towards getting over hurdles and continuing to improve within the craft.”
