LOVE LEVEL - DO THIS TO ME

Music, Original MixAlli LindseyComment

Aimee Van der Kruik and Juliana Ebert are Love Level; the blossoming Australian duo are maestros of all things ethereal. Over the course of two years, Love Level has written, refined, and conjured up their highly anticipated debut EP. The self-titled 5-track extended play is a dreamy oasis of electronic lullabies and poignant poetry. The EP’s focus track “Do This To Me” is a narcotic synth-pop gem teeming with feminine sentiments and moving melodies. Purring, jagged synths lift up their palpable vocal instruments to create a sense of spatial awareness around their songwriting. A memorable indie-electronic offering, “Do This To Me” is only a fraction of the blissful Love Level EP.

[PREMIERE] LOVE LEVEL - WHY YOU LEFT

Music, Original Mix, PREMIEREAlli LindseyComment

Dreamy Australian duo Love Level is back with the third and final single from their forthcoming EP. “Why You Left” is a hazy lullaby with a bedroom-pop spirit. The track is raw, open, and sincere from its smoked-out instrumentals to its heartfelt lyrical prose. A song about friendship and the unwelcome symptoms that often accompany companionship, “Why You Left” is a reckoning with loss. Quietly electronic, Love Level excels at blending a series of genres together to create a sound entirely their own. The indie-pop songstresses have no issue wearing their hearts on their sleeve; their earnest and unwavering commitment to poetry is unmistakable, and “Why You Left” is no exception. Although a relatively new outfit in modern indie-electronic music, Love Level is blossoming at a rate much deserved. Watch this space for their debut

“Writing ‘Why You Left’ was a super personal experience for us. There were so many emotions and feelings we both had, and both wanted to express that when we came together to write, the song just fell into place so fast. We brought the song to our producer, Callum MacDonaldof daste., and practically finished it in one session. For us, this song is about dealing with the sudden loss of a friendship and not fully understanding where things went wrong, or why you lost them. It’s about accepting that they’re happy without you but also the bittersweet feeling that comes with holding onto the good memories you had with them” - Love Level

[PREMIERE] LOVE LEVEL - BAD BYE

Super-babe duo Love Level just dropped their ethereal bedroom-pop gem “Bad Bye.” A loose-limbed and lassiez-faire attitude this quick-witted indie gem is worth the replay. Despite being a relatively fresh face to the Aussie indie scene, the tandem is far from novice. Charming and spell-binding to boot, “Bad Bye” is intuitive and steeped in moody hooks. With a subtly electronic underbelly, this atmospheric-pop hit blends a series of musical elements to create a genre-bending success. Brushed with alternative strokes, this shadowy success is brimming with authenticity, Love Level is already a Beautiful Buzzz favorite. Tune out and listen to “Bad Bye” today.
