KID FROOPY - SHOW ME

Des Moines based Kid Froopy just released an original track that hits with a one-two combo of emotional enveloping lyricism, and a hard, driving refrain. When a song can force you to invest yourself with such minimalist narrative, if any at all, its a sign of a keeper. Iconic Canadian trio Keys N Krates just delivered a high powered collaboration with Oakland's KRANE, creating a riveting fusion of powerful future bass and a more restrained melodic trap. KRANE (formerly KRNE) has long been a powerhouse of hard hitting, west coast beats, and to see his newer generation of sound melding with a group of artists paradigmatic within their genre. GILL CHANG - WHAT YOU DO (FT. AVIELLA WINDER)

LA producer Gill Chang has delivered a long line of distinctive and interesting tracks. As a producer he isn't afraid to veer off the worn path of a particular sub genre. When he does produce a track more in line with the mainstream the execution is so cohesive and fluid it draws me in, even in the depths of a deep-cuts soundcloud binge. His newest original track "What You Do", featuring vocals from Aviella Winder is a great example of this proficiency, and i can't lie, those brass samples brought it to the next level for me. Boston based Mozado just released his first track of 2017, dropping a chilled-out, albeit bassy iteration of Usher's "No Limit".
