ATCQ - ELECTRIC RELAXATION (T4PES X NICK AM EDIT)

Brooklyn's T4PES & Nick AM team up to retune A Tribe Called Quest's, "Electric Relaxation", giving the classic track a  upbeat, dance- floor-ready vibe. The two producers ratchet up the tempo and drop in a driving, heavy bass line that gives the song more spring in its step, bringing to mind early Kayranada remixes of Mos Def and Common. IMPALA - PILOT (FT. TIMA DEE)

LA's Impala just dropped his first original track "Pilot" featuring Tima Dee and boy oh boy is it good to see 2017 pop off to such an amazing start in terms of new acts. Taking to the time tested method of combining choppy, rolling synths with liquid female vocals, Impala continues a trend that has done much to bridge the gap between traditional music consumers and fans of a more harder, contemporary electronic style. DROELOE - IN TIME (FT. BELLE DORON)

Dutch duo DROELOE just partnered with Belle Doron to put together the absolutely fire track "In Time". Belle Doron's electropop vibe is chopped up just enough to add a hard edge without losing its vibrancy. DROELOE manages to drive through a triumphant, exhilarating refrain that takes me to an imaginary rave parade marching through city streets lined with jubilant fans rocking out. [PREMIERE] RKCB - ENOUGH (HTPKT REMIX)

East Coast maestro HtPkt ratchets up the emotional punch of LA duo RKCB's "Enough", taking the track to another level entirely. Coming off the release of his debut single "Running (ft. Celestial)" HtPkt keeps the energy alive with his first release of 2017. His iteration of "Enough" jumps off with the soothing, melodic vocals of the original track, slowly building the tension until the final cathartic crescendo releases you into the full intensity of the drop. MEMBA - WARRIOR

Danggg, MEMBA lays it down heavy with a tribal, bass heavy banger i can't get out of my head! Just heavy enough to send the crowd into a frenzy while staying funky enough to not scare away anyone who may not share as strong an affinity for heavy bass tracks as i have come to know and love. Everything i have heard thus far from these gents is golden and versatile, and their live performances feature a healthy portion of live instrumentals that calls my name. JUANY BRAVO & JULIUS JETSON - DIFFERENT HOES

Bangkok based Juany Bravo and DC residing Julius Jetson just dropped a funky, G House dance floor shaker through label Jump To This. The track seamlessly slides back and forth between a driving tech house bassline and a funky gangsta breakdown. "Different Hoes" is the kind of track that offers a versatility perfect for converting anyone on the dance floor previously unacquainted with the growing niche. KONSTANTIN - RELEASE YOURSELF (FEAT. AYLA SHATZ) [YE. RMX]

After so many floor shakin tracks, producer ye. switches it up with a laid back remix of Konstantin's "Release Yourself" ft Ayla Shatz. In the past few months ye. has distinguished himself as one of the more notable new producers in the buildup to 2017, and this latest remix keeps the course while continuing to diversify his discography along the way. Prolific in his releases, but always just diverse enough to stay fresh, ye. is one of those artists everyone should be listening to, so make sure to check out what else he has out. MONTE BOOKER & NAJI - MONA LISA

Soulection just released a new track from Monte Booker & Naji and it lives up to everything I have come to expect from all three. Monte Booker's production on the track personifies that meandering, easy going vibe that puts the soul at ease, no pun intended. TWENTY ONE PILOTS - THE JUDGE (CROIX FLIP)

Sitting in my coastal bubble, when i think of Ohio i think of sports prowess and flyover country. Needless to say Cleveland based producer Croix has forced me to reevaluate this bias. Croix's remix of 21 Pilot's "The Judge" beefs up the hipster classic and makes it dance-floor-ready just in time for winter, adding to the steady flow of tracks to keep us warm while we wait for spring.
