BOB MOSES - HEAVEN ONLY KNOWS

Music, Original MixErin MaherComment

This week is full of releases that are all about the vibes ... and Canadian electro-pop vibes are always tite!  I fucking love Canadians and their jams! Bob Moses call New York home now, but anywhere you put them ... their music will taste as sweet.  "Heaven Only Knows" is the latest moody single from this gorgeous duo, and they've packed in their signature eerie electro dance melodies ... this one is slightly gothic, channeling those darker feels we all have (you know the ones) under bright dance beats and honeyed vocals .... yes please!

FLIGHT FACILITIES - ALL YOUR LOVE FT. DUSTIN TEBBUTT

Music, Original MixErin MaherComment

Not sure how I got so lucky .... my love affair with Australian electronic dance music has lead me on the most epic journey of feels and friendship, it might even define my life and career ... and I am totally OK with that.  Flight Facilities are one of these artists who continue to make some of the most amazing music, and I am blown away again and again ... it never gets old. Once again Flight Facilities have raised the bar on the level of feels one can have while listening to a jam!  "All Your Love ft. Dustin Tebbutt" dropped late last night, and I have probably played this new track 100 times this morning ... swooning! With melodic melodies under ethereal vocals and steadfast dance beats, Flight Facilities can do no wrong! They will be back in the US this year with their live show, and I can't wait to hear this one up close and personal.

DRESAGE - GALLERY

Music, Original MixMike DooseComment

Bright, artful, cinematic, and colored with musical influences from across a veritable swath of genres and eras, Dresage is an artist who isn’t afraid of exploration and taking bold risks with her compositions. The solo project moniker of singer/songwriter/producer Keeley Bumford—who also makes infectious pop music in the duo More Giraffes—Dresage is the outlet through which she marries her love of vocal stylings from jazz greats with the maturity of dark and moody, left-of-center indie/electronic pop.

“Gallery” is her newest single, and it shines as an upbeat indie pop track, with rhythmic motion reminiscent of artists like HAIM or Betty Who, but with melodies and production that don’t fit so neatly into any specific mold. One listen will give you a peek into the brightly-colored palette that is Bumford’s personal musical gallery, where she has collected all of her personal influences and put them on display, arranging them in such a way that seems familiar, but also entirely new.

[PREMIERE] FAR & FEW - GHOSTED

PREMIERE, Music, Original MixAlli LindseyComment

Hailing from the live music capital of the world, Austin Texas’ Far & Few returns drifting with the same wind that blew them into a slew of successes with their latest release, “Ghost.” Having received notoriety from Alison Wonderland, NEST HQ, Diplo & Friends, and Triple J Radio- Far & Few is capitalizing on their recent admiration with a subtle, poised swagger. The southern duo manipulates sounds that extend far beyond Texas electronic production- striking chords by the likes of electro-R&B, indie-electronic, and a distinct resonance unique enough to call their own.  “Ghost” is a take on Stwo’s classic single, “Haunted.” Remaining a deep sense of respect for the original, Far & Few rewired “Haunted” into a looming, sensually-electro framework that exists at the apex of indie production. Unapologetically themselves, Far & Few is fossilizing their legacy one single at time- watch this space.

KAILEE MORGUE - DO YOU FEEL THIS WAY (FEAT. WHETHAN)

Original Mix, MusicSara NatkinsComment

Happy Friday kids! Here at B.B., our Fridays are absolutely sacred to us as we are greeted with an abundance of new and fresh music. One of my personal picks that I couldn’t pass up on is the new collaboration from steadily rising pop singer/songwriter Kailee Morgue and globally recognized electronic producer Whethan. In light of today being Whethan’s birthday, I figured there was no better day than today to share their single “Do You Feel This Way.” The track showcases the two's irrefutable musical chemistry through Kailee’s fervent vocals and Whethan’s evenly-paced rhythms that match the aesthetic set by the calm, yet confrontational lyrics. This one is an undeniable jam that you’re going to find yourselves putting on replay.

RÜFÜS / RÜFÜS DU SOL - NO PLACE

Music, Original MixErin Maher1 Comment

Recently I had a conversation with a few music industry people about how we have a hard time understanding those who do not like music.  Because music is the soul reason many of us feel alive, it's hard to imagine people not being passionate about music ... you don't have to be into the exact same music I am ... but be passionate about something!  Then .... our favorite Aussie threesome drop this track late last night ... and I ask the same question ... how can you not feel anything when you listen to this ... because I feel EVERYTHING!  RÜFÜS's new single "No Place" IS everything! For years this band has touched my soul in every way, from their magical jams to their amazing friendship - there is definitely no place I'd rather be when I'm with RÜFÜS. Listen to this new track, and tell me you feel nothing, because it's just not possible! I can't wait for the new record!

[PREMIERE] ELEMENT - YOU (FT. KHAMARI)

Music, Original Mix, PREMIEREAlli LindseyComment

Sensual, smooth, and properly in sync- New York producer Element and Boston’s R&B genius, Khamari have teamed up to release their sultry, intellectual single, “You.” Taking the East Coast by storm, the duet shares a sense of respect and admiration for one another's respective craft. Having already been homies, the partnership comes to fruition by the likes of buttery production, rolling drum cadences, and a controlled ebb and flow of synth. Carefully layered and curated, “You,” is the sound of electro-r&b at its apex. Khamari’s crisp, palpable hymns cascade with ease atop a genre-blending horizon of sexy, synthesized sounds. Navigate your Tuesday with this cool track from two brilliant collaborators.

WIN AND WOO - CHASING TAIL (MADNAP REMIX)

Remix, MusicAlli LindseyComment

He claims he is never mad, and never takes naps- quite the conundrum considering his name is Madnap. Tune into his remix of Win and Woo’s “Chasing Tail,” and you’ll get a proper feel of his refreshing, optimistic, awakening energy. A musician named after the perfect contradiction, Madnap leaves a distinct imprint on Win & Woo’s original piece, loosening the feel of a once specifically-tuned framework. Delicate melodies compliment a striking layer of synth production, lengthening the frequencies of the original single. As Madnap continues to release gem after gem, his signature sound becomes more defined, solidifying his position as one of our favorite producers to watch this year. Chill out with this fine flip of “Chasing Tail.”
