CHEAT CODES - FOLLOW YOU

It's gotten cold, even in Los Angeles! As much as I want to make hot chocolate and bundle up by a fire, it's tracks like Cheat Codes "Follow You" that snap me out of the winter wallows and bring me back to a tropical delight. This pop oriented record features bright acoustic guitar, upbeat piano and energetic plucked synth melodies all bound together with infectiously cheery lyrics and melody. If this isn't the cure for the start of your cold weather weariness, then I don't know what is!

BRANDYN BURNETTE - NOTHING AT ALL

I heard this awesome song a few days ago, but I'm just now getting around to writing it up. Brandyn Burnette brings us an emotionally charged indie tune with melancholy lyrics and melody bound together with bright electronic snaps and bluesy guitar. This tune is performed masterfully by Brandyn showing off his vocal prowess. The St. Louis born LA transplant has an awesome blend of electronic and indie rock elements that we feel are uniquely characteristic to this day in age of music. Using vocal pitch downs, synth bass with twangy guitar, Brandyn has crafted a fantastic tune and today he's celebrating the release of the entire EP entitled  "Made of Dreams" available on iTunes here and on Spotify here.  

COMMANDEUR - WITH ME

For me, music can be just as visually stimulating at times as even the most vibrant pieces of art. Certain pieces of music make my imagination go crazy, I envision far off places; dream-like environments with sprawling landscapes never before seen by human eyes. While yes this a very personal reaction that only exists in my head, I can only imagine the musings of others when they encounter music such as this "With Me" by Commandeur. I've never heard of this Australian native before, but I'm soo happy I have now. The name of our blog is Beautiful Buzzz and this track is both Beautiful and very Buzzzworthy. Rich in atmospheric elegance, delicate and personal, yet with a feeling of vast expansiveness. The airy echoes of the female voice intertwine with the lead vocals engulfing you in a warm and mysterious soundscape of colors and tones. This record takes you on a mellifluous journey into a synthetic fantasy. Allow yourself to become the innocent child you once were. Indulge your imagination and hit play.

LEINY - TEMPLE

5 days ago I lost my very fancy expensive headphones that a producer friend gave to me - and for the past 5 days I have been searching for them while having to listen to music through my computer speakers.  Just now I found them at the bottom of my laundry basket!  Whatever -- who knows why they were there, but my world has changed back to audio brilliance, so what better way to celebrate than with some dirty low end! When I first heard this new track "Temple" from Leiny - I was like .... oh it's ok.  But now, the re-listen with my headies has got me with all kinds of feels! SCAVENGER HUNT - KISS ME CLEAN (SATIN JACKETS REMIX)

I am a huge fan of the smooth groove wind down after a stressful day, and our boy Satin Jackets just nailed this new remix of "Kiss Me Clean" by Scavenger Hunt.  You may remember our very rowdy party in SF with this German producer this past summer; packing in over 1000 heads on the dance floor -- can't wait to have him back!   What a sweet soul he is too -- Beautiful Buzzz family strong!  His version is loaded with funky deep Nu-Disco vibes -- you won't be able to resist getting into this groove! SATCHMODE - FURTHER AWAY

Ok I'm fully coming to terms with the fact that I'm totally loving all the 80's revival tracks that are coming out right now. Tracks like this one "Further Away" by LA's Satchmode has such a magical retro feel to it, not to mention the total earworm hook and velvet like production. Utilizing warm arpeggiated synths, the Phil Collins big tom fills, and a classic sounding distorted synth solo at the second dance chorus, this track hits the Top Gun vibes spot on. Oh and it fades out at the end ha ha, something I've noticed songs don't really do anymore. 

VANESSA ELISHA - OUT OF TIME (PRODUCED BY XXYYXX)

Let's slow things down a bit with a little afternoon delight, shall we!  Last year we saw Australian vocalist Vanessa Elisha featured on XXYYXX track "Unknown" -- and we kind of swooned over her sultriness then!  Today she releases her new track "Out Of Time" which is produced by XXYYXX, and we can see history repeat itself.  Danm this is a sexy track!  Get lost in her soulful voice .... she slays this one!
