NZCA LINES - TWO HEARTS

A few years back I invited NZCA Lines to play my SXSW show - and needless to say he totally blew us away!  Not sure how his recent activity slipped under my radar, but holy cow this new single is so so so so good!  "Two Hearts" comes from his forthcoming album Infinite Summer out 1/22 via Memphis Industries, and it looks like he's added a couple ladies to the mix!  I'm swooning once again, NZCA Lines has always had that effect over me, with his luscious synth pop sound made for the dance floor, this is as good as it gets .... aaggggagagga I love it! ALEX BRANDT - UNTIL THE END FT. GUITK

Anyone in the mood for some tropical vibes?  I am!!  Don't know about you guys, but I am freezing - when it gets below 60 degrees in NorCal that's definitely considered freezing in my world!  I just got all warmed up with this new track by Alex Brandt tho - "Until the End ft. THE KNOCKS - NEW YORK CITY FT. CAM'RON

In 2014 I lived in New York City for 5 weeks, and it was one of the most incredible and emotional times during a very exciting year! I went through some pretty heavy hardships while in the big apple, but on the bright side made some amazing friends, and I felt very much at home.  Who knew this Cali girl could do that east coast living like a champ!  This new track by my loves The Knocks has so many feels, and I am definitely missing my little Brooklyn apartment on this cold winter morning!  "New York City ft. Cam'ron" has that quintessential disco funk vibe that we love from The Knocks, but this one groves so hard on that easy flow tip - I am so in love!  Once that groove drops,  you can't help but smile - fucking brilliant!  There's only one place I wish I could be right now ..... well done boys!   

909 TIL INFINITY - DEE

Let's get into something brand spanking new riiiight here!! Please meet 909 Til Infinity - a power production duo made up of Option4 and MANIK!  They have just dropped first track ever "Dee" - the B Side from upcoming Bee Dee EP due out Dec 4 via Psycho Disco, and y'all should hold onto your hats because this is some sick deep house shit ... for reals! A few weeks back I was drinking whiskey and eating tacos in LA with both legends and was so excited to see/hear about all this new work they were creating, and now here we are! It can be tempting to be elusive as a singer and songwriter, channeling mystery, in hopes of captivating the intrigue of your listener. A step beyond, a degree removed, just out of reach. But as the saying goes, the best writing comes from when you “write what you know.” For the last five years, I've had a love in my life that has believed in me, grounded me, made me laugh, made me think, made me dance, and has proven himself in moments of crisis and action. He was present for the birth of The Flavr Blue, and his support of each of us in the band has been indispensable through our journey. And so, even though it made me blush all the way through writing it, "No Other Lover" is an unabashed ode to my boyfriend (and TFB's BFF) Jeff. The veil is lifted. The real me is revealed. All of the quirks in my voice, my earnest love note to bae. I'll admit, it still makes me blush sometimes.

I love this song beyond its truth in my life because it spotlights our band’s collective love of classic R&B and soul; it hums with vinyl textures with a clean finish, like a whisky served neat. We had Elan Wright and Brian Chinn bless the track with a guitar and bass performance that made the song sparkle, and performing this live with Parker on guitar and Lace on bass now is truly a delight.

Love Notes is all about the love and this song is the realest for me. And, we managed to sneak a Seahawks shout-out in there... ;)

Unless you have been living under a rock lately and have yet to experience the sounds of this little muffin right here - San Holo has been hard at work dazzling the future beats world with one brilliant track after another!  I also heard a rumor that his live shows are on point - I keep missing out .... but soon I will get to one, might even be one of my shows ... who knows! CRYWOLF - CATACLASM

THIS THO!  For weeks I have been talking about Los Angeles indie electronic legend Crywolf, swooning in circles over his brilliance.  Someone in the industry once told me that when I really like something, it's liking on the next level.  Maybe I am not afraid to show my passion for music and artists I really love.  Everyone who knows me has seen what a nerd I am - working in this industry or not, I hope I never lose that part of my personality.  And talk about nerding out, Crywolf is my main squeeze riiiight now!  Last week he released new full length record Cataclasm for an outpouring of symphonic pleasure that is definitely .... next level!  I can't stop I won't stop with this one - each track is brilliant.  Grab your headphones and hold on, because there are so many beautiful moments and radiant surprises layered throughout this journey, Crywolf has just set the bar!  I have included "The Hunger In Your Haunt" above, however you can stream the full album, and I know you will want to purchase this masterpiece via iTunes HERE!
