One thing I have always said is that I am definitely not a music journalist!  Beautiful Buzzz was created as an outlet where I can tell my friends about all the great music I come across - and over the past few years we've grown into a fun place where people can find new tracks and listen to my stories! This Best Of 2015 list is personal; it's a combination of tracks I loved and great moments I had working with the artists over the past year - whether it was through the blog, at one of my Beautiful Buzzz shows, or just a night out on the town!!  Enjoy!!

I can't sleep - maybe because I know tomorrow is going to be bananas!  Everyone will be back in the office from the holiday break, and I have one million things to do!  So, as I stare at my inbox to decide that I will tackle first in the morning, Jordan F puts up this new track that is delicious and I am feeeeeeling this riiiiight now!  It's the perfect vibe for my mood - and everyone loves a little 80's synthwave vibe .... I mean ..... rad!!  This Australian producer just released his new album Timeless, and this track "Let's Cruise" is the opening jam to what has been a highly anticipated synthwave piece of art! GRAVES X INT3L - DEATH MEADOW

Hawaiian producer Graves is throwing some serious fire lately! Dropping one crazy good track after another every few weeks, each one setting that bass bar at the top - holy cow! His latest collab is with iNT3L with "Death Meadow" and the windows in my office are shaking from this intense low end! I only want this bass in my face for the rest of the afternoon! CHET PORTER - AWAKENING

Chet Porter kinda just made my day with this new track - it's stunning!  I am such a fan of work that crosses boundaries by not following the typical song structure. It can either be the best or the worst thing you've ever heard, but taking that chance is where the excitement comes into play!  Canadian producer Chet Porter just slayed his latest original "Awakening" in the best way possible, it's like walking through clouds hand and hand with the yellow Care Bear in the best dream of your life!  Filled with all our favorite future sounds and electro feels - loving this!!

I'm all about vibes. Throughout my life, I've always felt deeply connected with music: my first memories are listening to old funk and soul vinyl; I started going to live grunge rock shows on Capitol Hill from the age of seven on, and finally picked up the drums and started playing my own music when I was twelve. Music is universal: we've all experienced space and emotion change through the literal vibrations that music makes. 

As The Flavr Blue, we tend to write from our life at the moment, off the cuff. This song came about when we were in Los Angeles, both Parker and I taking a breather from and some perspective on what was happening with us personally at the time. Our friend Sebino, who is a senior engineer at the legendary Paramount Studios on Santa Monica Blvd in Hollywood, called us after a session and welcomed us to slide through late night. Walking into Paramount is like living history: countless platinum plaques on the walls, knowing that top tier artists are working in various rooms on any given night. Every song is a vibe, and this time the vibe was right. Two hours later, "New Kind of Vibe" was born with Sebino on co-production. 

So often we forget to consciously let go of the past, appreciate the current moment, and make space for what's to come. That's what "New Kind of Vibe" is all about. Hope you enjoy.
