[PREMIERE] KAP SLAP - FELT THIS GOOD FT. M. BRONX (KAP SLAP VIP MIX)
Music, Original Mix, Remix, PREMIERE, VideoCommentSo this is a special kind of premiere today, and it's super tasty! This summer Kap Slap released "Felt This Good ft. M. Bronx" and then produced this awesome chill VIP Edit that dropped via Ultra Records a few weeks back! So today's premiere is actually for the first blog posting of the track, and this fresh new video to go along! This VIP mix gives off a fantastic acoustic future pop feel that I am 100% loving! It's the perfect track to kick back with on viby summer evenings, hanging with friends - gotta get into this one immediately!
UNLIKE PLUTO - FOUND YOU (FEAT. MICHELLE BUZZ)
Music, Original MixCommentAh yess add another jam to Unlike Pluto's quickly growing catalogue of genre expanding, cinematic and generally mind blowing dance music. The hashtag from Monstercat states that this is Trap, but I have to say that's hardly the case. Yes...it does have the deep hitting sub and hip-hop oriented drumming, but this record for me really evolves into more of a trap pop or future bass kind of vibe courtesy of the verses. The beginning is somber with strings, pads and piano as Michelle Buzz's (we like her last name ha ha) tremendous vocals flow on top of the record with finesse. Michelle, by the way, is making quite a name for herself now with a couple of tremendous releases first on Prince Fox's "Oxygen," and now this. We'll be looking for singles coming from that camp soon. As we dive into the chorus, the vocal chop leads the way as hornlike synths and arps cascade around the bombastic sub. This record's fire and is lighting up my hump day. You can listen on Spotify here, and nab this on iTunes from Monstercat here.
BIG GIGANTIC - ALL OF ME (FEAT. ROZES & LOGIC)
Music, Original MixCommentHoly mother of collabo's batman! This is a jam right here. A friend recently put Logic's new LP 'Bobby Tarantino' on my radar, and I had a great time listening through. He's got some really dope rhymes, so when I saw him grouping up with breakout vocalist Rozes and the horny duo Big Gigantic, I knew this one was going to be big! This track is a perfect electronic pop & hip-hop crossover. The chorus showcases the horns enveloped by bright saw synths, the occasional fluttering arp and deep sub. The rhythm mostly stays out of the way making room for the infectious vocals, but I do enjoy the splashy hi-hat work. Big Gigantic also just announced a slew of new tour dates you can check out by heading to the SoundCloud link above. You can also nab this on iTunes here and listen on Spotify here.
GRIZ - BRFORE I GO FT. LEO NAPIER
Music, Original MixCommentI feel like I've been playing catch up all week long ... can't a girl just have some fun while she's working in NY? Nope! Blogging is a very serious business OK! Lolzzz! Know what is serious tho, the dirty funk vibes all over this new GRiZ track "Before I Go ft. Leo Napier." There is so much groove coming from this future funk artist that it's impossible not to shake your booty ... wherever you are! GRiZ is throwing a big Thanksgiving weekend party called Funksgiving in San Francisco with a stellar lineup that I am psyched about, and a whole slew of fall dates across the US! Go, for real it's the best time ever! Swoop this track on iTunes HERE!
BRONZE WHALE - HEAR ME
Music, Original MixCommentWhat a week for music - so much going on and I have had zero time for blogging while I've been in New York! I'm taking advantage of some downtime right now to quickly get this one up ... long story short is Bronze Whale is the bee's knees and they have a new track that dropped today. If you like sexy future beats under soulful vocals for all the feels, "Hear Me" is exactly the track for you! Grab a free download HERE!

TITUS - WRONG ONES (PROD. MYLES WILLIAM)
Music, Original MixCommentI think Titus may have written this jam about me, because yea man .... I really really like falling in love with the wrong ones, and definitely always want the time of my life. He just gets me! We've been big supporters of this New Jersey rapper, and this past year he's dropped some of our favorite flips and vocal edits - all totally delicious of course! "Wrong Ones" produced by Myles William is the first original track from yung Titus - pretty exciting! Big future bass and super smooth vocals - it's my new fave! Swoop this one from iTunes HERE!
WHETHAN - CAN'T HIDE FT. ASHE
Music, Original MixCommentEveryone once in a while I have the pleasure of saying I was right ... and when I'm right I'm spot on! Whethan is an artist that I have said is going to be massive, and with this new original "Can't Hide ft. Ashe" he's just gone next level. This young producer's first original track dropped on Friday and already he's got hella plays and sits at the number 1 spot on Hype Machine. I had the pleasure of supporting his last west coast shows where he totally slayed, and trust me I am already working on his next west coast plays! Whethan brings that bouncy future vibe that's super fun and dancy - it's definitely a party! Get into this one kids!
ELECTRIC TREASURE - MEMORY (CURT REYNOLDS REMIX)
Music, Original MixCommentComing in hot off of a pair of breakout performances at Lollapalooza last month and Splash House this last weekend, the homie Curt Reynolds is keeping the summer vibes alive with this smooth tropical infused remix of Electric Treasure's single "Memory." The deep tune starts mellow, as the percussion flows in with bongos, claps and shakers building into a grooving bassy chorus with light synth work accenting on top. Electric Treasure's vocals stay locked in throughout the tune as this cut flows around you like a wave. This track the perfect soundtrack for my August Monday. You can also listen to this tune of Spotify here.
