My young friend Melvv and I have many of the same feels - there may be a 20 year age difference between us, but that has not stopped the bonding over all things awesome when music is in the mix. Melvv delivers a massive flip of "Wall Fuck" by Flume (aka my boyfriend) that's pretty fucking great! We are all kinds of bananas over Flume, most of the world is actually, and mad respect to Melvv for crushing this one!

The level of talent emerging from our little scene is unreal - I have an overwhelming amount of music that I want to talk about but I just can't get to it all, so picking tracks can be difficult at times because it's all so good .... until you hear a track like this. Hearing REZZ remix "Without A Trace" by Kill The Noise was a no brainer - it goes up immediately! This young producer has taken a chill approach to this awesome track that's full of sexy darker vibes and deeper synthed out dance grooves - it's brilliant! SNBRN is showing us a darker side of this endless talent with this new one, and I'm loving it. This Los Angeles producer drops nothing but fire, and even though this is a new direction it still has them SNBRN summertime anthem feels that we all know so well! MKTO - SUPERSTITIOUS (CHRIS McCLENNEY REMIX)

This is the perfect jam for taking a break - and I've just closed my email for the next ten minutes to soak in all these soulful sounds from Baltimore producer Chris McClenney. Part of that delicious Soulection tribe, this young artist has but this funky electro groove all over this remix of "Superstitious" by MKTO that I am super feeling! The weekend is almost here .... counting down the hours! 

LINCOLN JESSER - TIME WILL TELL (FEAT. SAMUEL JACOB)

Our favorite deep house, pop crossover guru Lincoln Jesser is back with another fantastic release on Spinnin' Deep. "Time Will Tell (feat. Samuel Jacob)" is an upbeat piano driven tune with bongos, tambourine, slick melodies, and groovy deep bass. This brilliant producer is part of my very special NY fam - sometimes I am boggled about how I am totally surrounded with some of the most talented people, but I definitely know how lucky I am! I'm trying to find ways to get over the overwhelming FOMO I'm currently having over my NY fam being in LA and me making the decision not to go down this time .... I should have gone because everyone is together and I'm just here, by myself, on my lonely island of regret! Only thing left to do is blast music loudly and get over myself, and this new White Cliffs remix is currently crushing my speakers. We are big fans of this Brooklyn producer and he's put his funky dance flavor all over "JUSFAYU ft. No Wyld" by Kamau. White Cliffs has only given us a glimpse into his musical flair - only releasing a small handful of tracks over the past year - but the rumor around these parts is that he has a ton of really great surprises in store ... awwww snap!
