NEW MUSIC: TOTALLY ENORMOUS EXTINCT DINOSAURS - TROUBLE

[Your Name Here]Comment

This week we saw the release of Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs full length album Trouble via Casablanca Records.  TEED will be returning to North America this summer as well, bringing his incredible live show to ten markets in late July/early August.

One of the most anticipated electronic albums of the year, Trouble finds him completely immersed in the role of vocalist, singing throughout, providing the story with a genuine heartfelt quality.  Of course this is paired with his trademark sub-bass, electro bounciness and washed-out synths that combine to create a stunning piece of modern dancefloor pop.

NEW VIDEO: MIKA - MAKE YOU HAPPY

Getting your first taste of something you know is going to be just so so so so so so great is awesome! Mika is coming back with a new album this fall, and just gave us a new little video that totally rocks!  I am stoked for this record - and this song gives me a rush like a first kiss!!  Here is a note from Mika:

"Here's the first song I wanted you to hear from my new record, "The Origin of Love." This is not a single but a song I really love and wanted to share with you. I commissioned a short film which I felt perfectly captured the sentiment of the track. The film was directed by Iouri Philippe Paillé and was made in Montreal. This is where the entire album started taking shape a year ago with Nick Littlemore at Planet Studios in Papineau. I can't wait for you to hear the first single and the rest of the album very, very soon." - Mika

NEW MUSIC: EMPIRES - GARAGE HYMNS (NEW ALBUM OUT TOMORROW!)

[Your Name Here]Comment

Lots and lots of chatter today over the social networks about this upcoming release by Empires called Garage Hymns.  Hailing from Chicago, which is really cool actually....I have come across a bunch of bands from Chicago in the past year that kick ass....maybe the midwest city is our next uber trendy music mecca,  Empires reflect back to 90's grunge rock with a modern twist!  Expect passionate whaling vocals (brotha has got some pipes!) with heavy rock beats and enough guitar distortion to please any gen x-ers coming of age in the 90's along with the new generation of kids looking to release some teen angst.  This band may not be as angry as the great 90's bands that influence their sound, but they get the job done!

Wanna hear the whole ablum today?  Right now?  You are in luck because it is streaming in its entirety over at AOL Spinner! CLICK HERE NOW TO LISTEN!!

ZEBRA KATZ - IMA READ (FT. NJENA REDDD FOXXX)

[Your Name Here]Comment

This is creepy as hell!  When sitting in the studio with producer Michael Patterson, my boss, and he says - you have to check out this video by Zebra Katz and blog about it - I run next door to my little office and watch.....and to be honest I'm not really too shure what I just saw, and I am left with a skin crawling feeling.

Hip-hop is something I never talk about too much on this blog because, well, I don't like it.  I can appreciate talent tho, and give credit where credit is due.  This track and video by Zebra Katz puts me right in that position - did I like it???  No.....do I think it's good???  Yes!!  And the video makes me feel like I felt the first time I saw The Shinning (minus the sexual undertones).

Everyone watch this please.....

Ima cut a bitch.....
