A few weeks ago this New York based indie rock band The Dig released a new album called Midnight Flowers - which I have to say is pretty darn good! Here is their new video for "Hole In My Heart".
If you are a Los Angeles native you are in luck - The Dig will be the resident band in July at the Silverlake Lounge - playing every Monday night in July! Sweet...we get'em for a whole month!
Yeasayer have named the first single to be taken from their third album, Fragrant World.

There have been some pretty great bands coming out of Liverpool lately, and here is another one I have just come upon that I like very much. All We Are are alternative folk pop trio who's music lives on the dark side of life, which is a very good thing.

I am a few days late with this new video - I have been sick and letting my mom take care of me...moms are the best! So, here is the new video from RAC for their first original single called "Hollywood" featuring Penguin Prison.
Parts of this video were shot in my neighborhood - downtown Los Angeles is so cool! It's a good song - a nice try for a first original song.....but knowing what I know about RAC remixes, I am sure we will see something greater in the months to come!
The best days are days when one band I love releases a remix of another band I love - just like this new remix of The Cast Of Cheers single "Family" by my biggest band crush Mafia Lights. I talk about both of these bands quite a bit, so you can imagine my pleasure when I saw this remix go up a few days ago!
It's hard to get either bands music in the states, but they both have tons of free downloads on their soundcloud pages, and we should be seeing some US releases from them soon...and maybe some US shows, I have insider information that SXSW 2013 is looking good!!

It's Monday and I feel like fuzzy guitar dreamy garage rock is the perfect thing to kick off this week....and that's where Splashh comes in! They come from Hackney - one of London's more popular hipster neighborhoods - and today were featured on The Gardian UK's page as band of the day. If you like Yuck, The Vaccines, or Gross Magic then you are going to love this band!
Their new single "Need It" will be released on my most favorite little London label Luv Luv Luv Records on June 30th for download and 7"!! All I know is that it's good, real fucking good and I cannot stop listening! Well done - super excited to watch what happens with this band!
