REMIX: ESCORT - STARLIGHT (RAC REMIX)

Erin MaherComment

NYC’s Escort delivers a danceable blend of disco, funk & soul which pay homage to the classics while remaining fresh and modern. Founded by Eugene Cho and Dan Balis and fronted by the enormous vocals of lead singer Adeline Michèle, the 17-piece ensemble turned heads with the release of their self-titled debut LP last year. On the heels of its success, Escort will release Escort Remixed on October 16, which features a variety of new mixes and older classics. RAC takes on the band’s funk and soul-infused track “Starlight,” adding a smooth, seductive touch. You can download the “Starlight” (RAC Remix) MP3 from the soundcloud player above!

NEW MUSIC: GREAT NORTHERN - HOLES

Erin MaherComment

One of my all time favorite Los Angeles bands - Great Northern - are finally back!  When I first moved back to LA from my 5 year adventure through the midwest and Europe and started getting into the scene, I used to listen to Great Northern's debut album Trading Twilight for Daylight (2007) on repeat.....good times!  Now they are giving us a peek into their third studio album with their new single 'Holes.'  Front woman Rachel Stolte sounds amazing!  I know this new record is going to be great, they recorded/rehearsed right down the hall from my studio and I got to listen to the process every day/night for months!  Get your first listen now......I'm so in love with this song!

NEW MUSIC: LULS - SWING LOW

Erin MaherComment

Luls have released their new single 'Swing Low' and it has exceeded all my expectations!  They come from London, UK outta no where and are making big moves while putting out monster tunes!  Having only pretty much become a band and released their first ever single a few months back, Luls have found themselves in a perfect spot with great management, credible UK booking agent and will be touring with Spector in October / November through the UK.  HUGE!  Very much deserved - their music is awesome!!  Pretty sure they are one of my favorite new bands of 2012 - I can't wait to hear more!

NEW VIDEO: SPRING OFFENSIVE - NOT DROWNING BUT WAVING

Well, this one really tugs at the emotions..... and not the happy ones!  This, however, is not a bad thing....in fact it's good, really really good!  Oxford, UK based band Spring Offensive have released their new single 'Not Drowning But Waving' along with a self directed video that has left me unbelievably emotional.  I am the kind of person who wants to feel music, not just hear it, and Spring Offensive have delivered that in spades.

Want to get your hands on this 7' single?  You are going to have to act quickly or go to a show - it will only be available on their merch table and webstore exclusively for the two month duration of their imminent European tour, with the digital version available now.  Check out the dates below!
