We rarely get political, but in light of the most recent mass killings and the heated struggle over what to do in America about gun control, this new video for "You ( Ha Ha Ha)" that came out today in the US maybe....just maybe.....should have been debated before release! Christ, just today another school shooting occurred in Southern California.......timing anyone?

CommentIt's new, it's dark, and it's delicious! Los Angeles band Sir Sly are hitting the ground running - the buzz on this band is everywhere on the best coast it seems - not a bad problem to have. I have heard their name mentioned more in the past few weeks than any other band by the most people, who all run in different groups......people are talking! In February they will be having their LA Wednesday night residency at The Echo, and we'll be able to see Sir Sly at Popscene here in the bay during Noise Pop on February 28. As Elephants Are formed in 2011 after Ben (vocals/guitar) and Harry (bass) had to collaborate on the writing and recording of music for their college music course. Realizing that there was no one else like-minded on the course they recruited an old school friend each in Joe (guitar) and Rob (drums) to complete the recording line up. All four had been music obsessives from a young age but this was the first time they had ever played music with other people who felt the same way. Things gelled immediately…

You know at the turn of the century (2000 that is) I lived in the mid west and visited Chicago for shows many times, and I have to say I did not find things as exciting there back then as I do now.....maybe you were on a slump, or maybe it was me....... either way I know you now!
To say I am excited for all the new music we are going to see from this Chicago electro dance rock band this year is an understatement. Hey Champ have captured a sweet little spot in my heart for all time, I am pretty sure I had a life changing / defining moment at a show of theirs once.....ahh, the memories! I digress - new music = exciting! We are also going to see Hey Champ back at SXSW this year where they are sure to blow the roof off Austin!
