NEW MUSIC: HARTS - THE MUSIC

Oh joy!  My little Australian love bug Harts is back with a new single called "The Music" - and I love it!  This is dance floor goodness just how I like it - with somewhat of a Prince guitar solo!  That's hot!   

Harts had this to say about his new single, "The Music is a song about not conforming to trends.  It is about questioning why you actually like something as opposed to liking something just because it is popular.  It’s a song about sticking to my own beliefs and not worrying about what is happening around me."

This is the second single from his debut EP Offtime, which is set for release on March 1!

NEW MUSIC: CHVRCHES - RECOVER

Ever notice the every band from Scotland is like a really great band?  There must be something in the water in that part of the world, something awesome!  Once I was in Scotland, and I ran through a really green field with a bunch of sheep!  Maybe its the sheep?  Whatever it may be, I am glad it happens in Scotland - because then we get bands like Chvrches!  They come from Glasgow where I once spent 11 US dollars on a pack of smokes & had the most incredible Indian food of my life.  I also just went to Glasgow to go to King Tut's Wah Wah Hut - a very famous music venue - because that's how much of a nerd I am....and to run with sheep of course!   Chvrches have dropped their new single "Recover" and it is indie pop electo goodness!

Aaahhhh The Shoes!  I sometimes have dreams about them, like I finally get to see a live show kind of dreams!  They have put their spin on single "Backseat Kissers" from Only Real.  It's sexy and delicious, how can you go wrong!

Today it is nothing but brand new bands who send me sweet messages on soundcloud!  For real!  Brand spanking new music and bands you aint never heard but need to badly!  Holy shit - this new band is a fucking gem, and they know how to send a sweet message let me tell you!  Chance My Brother - this track is evil!  It's like a mixture of 90's hip-hop beats with some sexy R&B undertones along with electro pop goodness!  Delicious!  I am chair dancing at my home office!  "Another Day in LA (Fades Into My Memory)" reminds me of home and how I felt in LA.......ahhhhhh LA!  Chance My Brother - I want a live show now!  Come up to the bay and play for us! 

NEW MUSIC: NEW ARCADES - INTO THE SKYLINE

I am all things electro indie pop today!  After seeing the Ghost Beach live debut in San Francisco go bananas last night, I might only want to listen to electro indie pop from now on! 

I received a very sweet message from new electro indie pop band New Arcades today!  It pays to be nice, because I'm nice and I like to be nice and I like nice people.  New Arcades are two of my favorite things - electro indie pop and British!  Why is London so awesome?  And why do all people from London think it sucks?  Hey now, this track "Into The Skyline" is good and you can grab it as a free download! 

NEW MUSIC: LOVELIER OTHER - LEAVE THIS BEHIND

Late last fall the dreamy electro-folk tinged Lovelier Other quietly released their debut track onto the internet.  The swirling electronic ballad titled "Leave this Behind" quickly created a life of its own, popping up on blogs, on mix tapes, being included in year end lists, all the while, orchestrating a flurry of emails which poured into the band's gmail account begging for more.

...More information… more music…anything that could quench the thirst that "Leave this Behind" had created.  Suffice to say - in 2013 Lovelier Other is ready to step out of the shadows and give listeners what they want.  The band is giving away the MP3 for "Leave This Behind", which until today had remained stream-only.

NEW VIDEO : ODESZA - IPLAYYOULISTEN

Seattle-based production duo ODESZA, made up of Harrison Mills (Catacombkid) and Clayton Knight (BeachesBeaches), are excited to share their first official video for "IPlayYouListen".  One of the many standout tracks from their excellent debut, Summer's Gone, "IPlayYouListen" is a perfect representation of what ODESZA does best, combining glitchy electronics with lush melodies and dulcet vocal samples. In the "IPlayYouListen" video, director Diego Contreras captures Christmas in Guatemala when families set off "cuetes," Spanish slang for firecrackers, as soon as midnight hits. The cuetes create a beautiful symphony of sound and color that pairs well with ODESZA's dreamy, colorful and unique productions. In addition to their first ever US tour beginning next month, ODESZA will perform at the 2013 Sasquatch Music Festival in May.
