NEW VIDEO: HEAVEN - COLORS IN THE WHITES OF YOUR EYES

Our friends HEAVEN have just released a new video for their single "Colors In The Whites Of Your Eyes" which is deliciously shoegazey - swirly fuzzy pop perfection.  I love this band!  HEAVEN played our Beautiful Buzzz SXSW showcase this year and were mind blowing good.  Their new record Telepathic Love  drops July 30 via Goodnight Records.  Additionally, HEAVEN is announcing tour dates, including record release show at New York's Mercury Lounge on August 1st. with a full summer tour to be announced soon.

NEW VIDEO: MODERAT - BAD KINGDOM

Moderat are Apparat (Sascha Ring) and Modeselektor (Gernot Bronsert and Sebastian Szary).  Seducers and hooligans, ponderers and party monsters.  They leave no page unturned in their electronic and analogue lives.  On one side, there is the thoughtful sound tinkerer and pop poet, and on the other, the techno b-boys.  Both acts represent the Berlin electronic scene from the other side of the straight bass drum.  Modeselektor are grand masters of subterranean bass and electrifying breakbeats.  Apparat is the purveyor of sophisticated electronic pop music.

In the space of eleven tracks, Moderat presents a very varied but nonetheless compact and epic tale with their new album II.  Its first single, "Bad Kingdom," will be released digitally and as a 10" HERE on July 9th.  It is perhaps the most universal song Apparat and Modeselektor have ever produced: a pop song full of passion and energy, lacking contradiction and speaking a universal language.  Watch its video, directed by Pfadfinderei.  It is set in and around London in the year 1966 and features a descendant of the English aristocracy who turns from being an ambitious young man into a ruthless power broker.

NEW VIDEO: J.VIEWZ - FAR TOO CLOSE

j.viewz, otherwise known as Brooklyn songwriter and producer Jonathan Dagan, is thrilled to present the music video for "Far Too Close" in anticipation of the release of his Far Too Close Remixes EP, available July 2nd on iTunes.  The video is an epic journey, paying special tribute to pop cinema classics like Back To The Future and Footloose.  

NEW MUSIC: SCENIC - SHOCKWAVES

It's that time again, our most favorite time ever!  It's Australian indie pop hour!  We love bringing you the latest and greatest indie pop/electro pop coming out of Australia when ever we can, and since I have been deemed the Australian indie pop queen by one of my favorite Aussie bands Gold FIelds - it's only fitting to introduce you to something completely dellicious like Scenic!

 Perth's Scenic are set to release their sophomore EP via Future Classic this July. Joining the FC roster in 2011 in their teens, the four-piece released 'Another Sky', a dreamy collection of cosmic electronic pop, featuring a typically classy disco edit from remixer du jour The Magician.  On the forthcoming Shockwaves EP, Scenic's sound has evolved, filtering their knack for the electronic through a psychedelic acid wash. The lead single and title track "Shockwaves" is sunny, tight and punchy.

NEW MUSIC: NEW ARCADES - STAY AWAKE

Remember New Arcades?  We featured this London based indie electro pop band earlier this year..... we remember .... and we are very happy about their new single "Stay Awake" - a dreamy synthy heartbreak love song.  This latest track comes from their debut self titled New Arcades EP that dropped on June 10.  It's the perfect soundtrack to living in the moment or to reminiscing of good times gone by.  It's music to share a sunrise to, or to head out into a night full of promise.  Rad!

NEW VIDEO: STORY OF THE RUNNING WOLF - STRATOSPHERIC

If I could be in a band, I would want to be in a band just like this.... making videos just like this!  Today Los Angeles indie electro pop duo Story Of The Running Wolf released their epic new video for "Stratospheric" and anytime something is good enough to make me say epic - you know its hella good!  We love Story Of The Running Wolf and are huge supporters of these guys and their music.  Their self titled EP made our top EPs of 2012 list, and I am pretty much counting down the days to actually see their live set - I think we'll have to bring them up to San Francisco for an epic show!  LOVE!

NEW MUSIC: LITTLE DAYLIGHT - GLITTER AND GOLD

Hands down one of my favorite bands of 2013 thus far!  Little Daylight have released a new single today called "Glitter and Gold"  that is fabulous!!  This is the third installment from their soon to be released debut Tunnel Vision EP  which is set for August 2.  This new single keeps summer going strong, especially for all of us living and freezing in the bay area!  Added bonus for us bay area folk - Little Daylight will be back in San Francisco on July 22 supporting Bastille at Rickshaw Stop!  CRAP....THAT'S AWESOME!  Good music, good people, good times!  Get involved, Little Daylight is where it's at!
