CommentMy summer has been pretty cool so far, mainly because in the past month I have been able to spend some quality time with my little darlings Lovelife - who are AMAZING! Sometimes people come into your life and show such kindness and love that it makes all my hard work 100% worth it - and if they are British and in a great band then it's even better! Lovelife make songs and remixes better than most, not listening to this band is a huge mistake! They are back to the UK, but we'll see them in the states again come October. Until then, here is a new Livelife remix of "Counting Stars" by OneRepublic, and it's a free download! Sweet!

When an amazing person and friend - who manages some pretty great bands - says he has something for me to hear, yea... I jump! Antwerp is an indie electronic artist from London who I am now a HUGE fan! This is great dance music with a tiny bit of "eastern" flavor. Antwerp's new EP is stacked with one killer track after another; I'm all about "Blue Marble" - it's been on repeat all weekend! After listening to the new Myriad Shapes EP, I went back and listened to previous releases and he has a track called "Erin" - and I'm good with any song that shares my name. But seriously, this is really smart electronic music, there is depth and beauty swirled together with dance floor beats. After listening I feel like I have just been taken on a journey through a strange and beautiful land, or that I am seeing London through his eyes. This is good shit! Antwerp's second EP Myriad Shapes is out today via Noise Praise, which you can pick up on iTunes HERE! You can also stream it above! CommentI have been deemed the Australian dance pop queen by Australian dance pop band Gold Fields - and as I should! I mean, really....there is so much over the top amazing Australian dance pop in the world, all you have to do is listen....I just happen to listen a lot! RÜFÜS falls into this category - so good....so so good! If you have not heard this band yet.... get on it!!
"Desert Night" is the 2nd single from ATLAS, debut album from RÜFÜS. Available in Australia August 9 on Sweat it Out - maybe we'll get it in the states soon!

The Melbourne-based duo of Tom Iansek (vox, guitar, piano) and Joanna Syme (drums, backing vox) will join the esteemed independent label's roster with the release of their forthcoming album Not Art on September 17, 2013. Good stuff!

CommentWell this is very exciting! We have been hearing about this new Editors album for a bit, and the day is almost upon us where we can go into that record store and have it for ourselves. Editors are pretty rad, and this album is going to be something new indeed. With 2 new members and somewhat of a change in sound, it will be interesting to see how Editors fans react. I happen to believe change is good, but it can be hard for an established band with fans that expect certain aesthetics to remain - but if what to come is anything like this new track "The Weight" - this might be their Sea Change.....
The Weight Of Your Love will be released by Play It Again Sam / [PIAS] America on July 2 digitally, and July 9 on CD, double CD (with bonus tracks), & double 180g vinyl.
