Big Data are an electronic duo comprised of producer Alan Wilkis and vocals by Daniel Armbruster. OF COURSE - Daniel Armbruster of Joywave! The awesomeness factor just went up! CommentWow - our second cover of the day! Goldroom has just paid great tribute to one of our generations fallen heroes, Elliott Smith. Growing up and living in LA - it is hard to not be a HUGE Elliott Smith fan - it's easy to see him walking the streets of Echo Park and SIlver Lake, or drinking at Ye Rustic Inn - he is everywhere on the east side of Los Angeles, and he is beautiful still. Goldroom did an amazing job covering one of his favorite Elliott Smith songs "St. Ides Heaven" and it's being offered as a free download!

CommentUsually I'm not a fan of covers, but somehow lately electro pop dance bands have been KILLING covers, they have been some of the best I have heard! For example, Poolside covering "Harvest Moon" by Neil Young, or Ghost Beach covering "Vultures" by John Mayer - both covers are AMAZING! Add this one to the list kids - Australian band Clubfeet just dropped a great cover of "Remind Me" by Roykspopp!! CommentAstralwerks newest signing Claire - a Technicolor hybrid of electronic, pop, and indie rock - release the debut single "Games" today as a two-track digital single featuring a brand new remix by I Heart Sharks.
A buoyant anthem to love's labors "Games" hints at great things to come from the up-and-coming German five-piece. The top-20 HypeMachine charting act, which has toured internationally with Chvrches and Bastille, is set to release the debut EP Broken Promise Land on Astralwerks September 24. Claire's first-ever US live shows will be at CMJ in New York City in October 2013 with more dates TBA.

CommentGoldroom has a new video for his dreamy tropical track "Pacific" - I'm not gona lie, this track is insanely good! Goldroom has had a huge influence over my musical taste for the past few years, showing me how awesome electro disco can be, and spearheading my love for electronic bands. Goldroom will be coming back to the bay soon to do another show with Beautiful Buzzz - so keep a lookout for the announcement!
NEW MUSIC: LITTLE DAYLIGHT - RESTART
CommentTomorrow is the day!! Little Daylight's first EP "Tunnel Vision" drops and I am very excited for my pals! We love Little Daylight, they are some of Beautiful Buzzz's besties - we have mad love for them! "Restart" is another gem-of-a electro pop song, can this band do wrong? Nope! They are going to be back in the bay are twice in Sept - once with Charli XCX and again with Bastille! Get out to one of these - their live set is AMAZING! And don't forget to pick up this new EP!
