NEW MUSIC: PLASTIC PLATES - COME ON STRONG

Erin MaherComment

If you were in the bay area this past weekend, you had the chance to see Plastic Plates live at the Heineken and Beautiful Buzzz Outside Lands After Party.  The show was sold out in advance, but for those who were ticket holders ... what a night!  Plastic Plates took the stage around 12am and delivered a blistering set to a packed room havin' a dance party.  Plastic Places has released a new track "Come On Strong" that is 100 percent discolicious!  Great guy, amazing talent - Plastic Plates can play any of our parties any time!

REMIX: ROBERT DeLONG - GLOBAL CONCEPTS (STORY OF THE RUNNING WOLF REMIX)

Erin MaherComment

Well, this just made my day - fuck this just made my week!!  Story Of The Running Wolf will soon become a household name for all the indie electro pop girls and boys in the world.  Just two short weeks ago we debuted this LA based band in San Francisco - and their first live show outside of LA was with Goldroom and it was BANANAS!  It was so good in fact that Story Of The Running Wolf will be opening for Goldroom in LA in October along with our good buddies Carousel.  Fuck - road trip for this show!!

They have released a new remix of "Global Concepts" by Robert DeLong who we all know and fucking love, fucking dance!  This is a serious dance floor hit, prepare yourselves for extreme movement and joy!

REMIX: CHELA - ROMANTICISE (GOLD FIELDS REMIX)

Erin MaherComment

The Beautiful Buzzz crew has been busy!  3 shows in the past 3 weeks, two sold out and one slammin' dance party!  Who has time to blog??  I decided to take 1/2 of my day and do nothing but give you new music, and this is a great way to start - with a new Gold Fields remix of "Romanticise" by Chela.  This Australian beauty can be found in some of your favorite music - colabrating with the likes of Goldroom and Viceroy - we really like Chela.  Let Gold Fields slap their sound on her track and BAM!!  Greatness!!  It's Wednesday - fucking dance!

NEW MUSIC: CHINA RATS - DEADBEAT

Erin MaherComment

My most favorite indie rockers have just dropped a new track!  China Rats are continuing to rock your world with their latest installment "Deadbeat".  Leeds, UK based lads have been putting top quality good old rock'n'roll into the world the only way British bands can, with an in-your-face big sound and one hell of a hook.  This latest track is indicative of the gritty Brit-rock songs China Rats create - wrapped up in dirty, sexy grit that will please any listener.  Their Don't Play With Fire EP drops September 30 - get on it!

NEW MUSIC: THE CHAIN GANG OF 1974 - MIKO

Erin MaherComment

We've had a very busy week, away from our computers and out seeing live music!  In the last 10 days Beautiful Buzzz debuted 2 bands in San Francisco and had our first sold out show!  Now that August is starting up, it's time to get back on our computers - and I am super happy to hear this new The Chain Gang of 1974 track!  "Miko" is a pretty bad ass track, I'm not gonna lie!  It pretty much makes me want to fist pump and head bang on a dance floor in the conventional non-bro-y kind of way.  I love it when my dark is mixed with dance.

The Chain Gang of 1974 is a band I have always wanted to see live but never had the chance - it always seemed there was another show I was going to or something of that nature!  However, that is all about to change with Beautiful Buzzz Presents show #SEVEN on August 23 w/ The Chain Gang of 1974, HUMANS, and Mighty Mouse - San Francisco @ Neck Of The Woods!  BANANAS!  You can get tickets HERE!

NEW MUSIC: LOVELIFE - MIDNIGHT SWIMMING

Erin MaherComment

Lovelife keeps putting out amazing tracks and remixes, and we can't get enough.  "Midnight Swimming" is the latest installment from their upcoming EP Stateless - their third EP release in the past year!  This track embodies everything we love about Lovelife, Lee's heartfelt soulful vocals over swirly synths and dance beats.  We think this is the best music gets!  Stateless drops October 1 - get on it!

NEW MUSIC: THE DARCYS - THE RIVER

Erin MaherComment

The love I have for this band and these guys is special.  Their music gets under my skin, it makes my heart beat faster, it takes me to another place - a good place, a great place actually!  The Darcys first came into my life in 2011 - they were handed to me via Arts & Crafts so that I could consider them for my 2012 SXSW showcase.  Once I started listening to their self titled debut record, I couldn't stop - they had me at hello.  Since that day, I can honestly say that The Darcys are in the top 10 list of my all time favorite bands.  Their live shows are ridiculous!  They have played my SXSW showcase for the past two years - mind blown each time!  They are my friends and even my protectors, actually interfering and helping me out of a sticky situation involving a very drunk very large Texan during SXSW this year (thanks Wes).  The Darcys are something special!

This new track "The River" is insane!!  Jason Couse's vocals are brilliantly ethereal - there's nothing like them - he reaches into your soul leaving behind little bits of greatness.  I am loving everything about this!  The band says,“The River is about the darkness at the bottom if you don’t find yourself at the top.”

The Darcys will release their brilliant new record Warning on September 17 via Arts & Crafts.  “Warring is moving forward. It's learning in motion. Competition and survival, letting go to persevere. It is anxiety about the future and the triumph of life in the moment. It’s victory on will alone, the force that eradicates failure as an option.”   You can grab this track as a free download!

REMIX: NATALIA KILLS - SATURDAY NIGHT (LOVELIFE REMIX)

Erin MaherComment

My boys are at it again!  Lovelife has released another great remix, this time they spread their flavor all over "Saturday Night" by Natalia Kills.  I am one lucky girl to have so many talented friends making forward thinking new music.  Lovelife are the shit, and they love me, and I love them -  there is so much fucking love here, musical babies are coming!  Lovelife are heading back to the states in a few months, hitting the road with The Neighbourhood again in October.  Still no bay area show, but don't worry kids, I am working on solving that problem!  Grab this track as a free download!
