CommentNO is an amazing band from Los Angeles who are going to be GIGANTIC!! Their live shows are bananas, their songs are bananas, and they are angels sent straight from heaven to your ears! I have the distinct pleasure of being able to say I was at the first live NO show ever - in Los Angeles at The Satellite, and we even covered it on Beautiful Buzzz because is was AWESOME! You may have caught them on tour with The Naked and Famous a few months back as well! Recently signing to super cool Toronto based label Arts & Crafts, NO are about to drop their new record El Prado on February 18! Exciting!! Comment2014 is the year for Mystery Skulls - for real!! He played our SXSW 2013 showcase, and I must admit I was unable to catch his set, by no fault of my own!! You try running a 4 day and night 90+ band event at SXSW with just you and one other person - see how much music you actually get to watch!! I digress, we saw something special in him then, and we still see it now. I just caught his show in San Francisco where he supported Viceroy and it was slammin!! I mean totally bananas!!! He can play any of our shows any time he wants - for real!!

CommentWild Cub made their way into our hearts early in 2012 - we have been HUGE supporters over here at Beautiful Buzzz, featuring them at our 2013 SXSW showcase and hosting their San Francisco live debut back in July - which was a total partee!! We love everything about them, they're our Wild Cubs!!! Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr. has done a fantastic remix of "Thunder Clatter" by Wild Cub that is smothered in funk - it's pretty tasty!! CommentIt's a new year which means it's time for new music from bands like Chromeo. A standard favorite for years now, Chromeo has been one of the pioneers guiding us back to the disco funk sound - which we now love and can't get enough of these days. Still not completely main stream, Chromeo manages to pack festivals and with their insanely bananas live show, and even with their DJ sets. Now that Daft Punk broke into world wide regular rotation on alternative, pop, and top 40 radio in 2013 - maybe this year will be Chromeo's year to be launched into uber super stardom. Here is the new track "Come Alive" featuring Toro Y Moi - enjoy it now before it hits radio and we hear it one million times until we are so sick of it we never want to hear it again!!

CommentWe had our first CMJ showcase last October in New York, and so many amazing bands played it was bananas!! The only band I had not seen live at that time was Joywave, and I have to say....they totally blew me away!! Joywave is on our list of bands to watch in 2014 with good reason, they are fantastic!! Check out this new Joywave remix of "Better In The Dark" by Say Lou Lou - it's delicious!!
