STALKING GIA - BORN FREE (REUBEN KEENEY REMIX)

Music, RemixErin MaherComment

My most favorite Irish producer is finally back with some new tunes!!  Wooo Hoooo!!  Last year Reuben Keeney stole our hearts with his deep house remix of Jasmine Thompson's vocal version of Guns-N-Roses "Sweet Child O Mine."  It's been a minute, but this little darling has been very busy with sorting major record deals, writing sessions in London, and working on a whole arsenal of new jams that he is dying to get out into the world!!  First one is up!! Reuben has reworked "Born Free" by New York indie electro-pop songstress Stalking Gia, and it's bananas good!  This is total deep house fiyahhhhhh on the dance floor bananas good, which it the best kind -- I'm kinda swooning!  You can grab a free download from Reuben HERE and definitely look forward to more awesomeness from this legend very soon!

CHET FAKER - 1998 (AMATEUR DANCE REMIX)

Music, RemixComment

Anyday where we get anything new from the Future Classic camp is a good day. Today we've been blessed with a new remix to Chet Faker's "1998". For Record Store Day, Chet put out the 1998 Melbourne Edition, a limited edition record consisitng of a series of remixes to his song "1998" by local Melbourne producers. A month later, the series has reappeared online with an additional remix by Amateur Dance. Let me be the first to tell Amateur Dance is no amateur to dance music and this remix has got our hips shaking. We'll be on the lookout for more tasty music from him in the future!

FYFE - SOLACE (L C A W REMIX)

Erin MaherComment

This is like, the best thing I have heard all week!! I am totally obsessed with this youngster, can't get enough ever! Why are the German's killing the game lately - seems like I can't swing a cat with out hitting a rad German producer in the head - and I am now totally wondering if these German producers will get that figure of speech I just dropped!  Haha!!  L C A W just made all my dreams come true with this gorgeous remix of "Solace" by Fyfe! There is something wrong with you if you don't like this track! Get into it kids!

GOLDROOM - EMBRACE (FT. GEORGE MAPLE)

Music, Original MixErin MaherComment

Alright, I am gonna admit - this one is tough for me! Goldroom pretty much inspired me to start Beautiful Buzzz - he is the driving force behind everything I've done for the past 4-5 years and helped me reach some pretty cool lifetime goals - and we're still moving forward, watching each other grow and supporting each other along the way! I am sure he would agree with me when I say Mereki was a huge part of the Goldroom success - and even tho she has moved on to work on her solo career she is still part of the soul that is and will always will be Goldroom. This version of "Embrace" featuring George Maple has thrown me for a loop just a bit - not that it's not amazing because she is amazing and the song is undeniably awesome, I'm just used to Mereki! There is something so familiar about her voice, it's what we fell in love with!

However, after listening to the George Maple version, I get it!  "Embrace" was actually written with her and for her, so it's like this track has finally been given the chance to reach it's full potential. This is how Goldroom envisioned "Embrace" to be .... and it's just as amazing as ever.  George Maple's sultry vocals have made this more than just a poolside summertime dance hit, she's brought maturity and deeper feeling, she's brought out the sadness and emotion within the words  - she's made it a love song!!   The power of music is like nothing else, and after multiple listens over the past 24 hours - I am more in love with this song than I ever have ever been. I'm sure Mr. Goldroom is quietly giggling over my words right now, and I am pretty sure this is the most I have ever had to say about anything on this blog -- but well done sir, and thank you, and love you most!

Goldroom's new EP It's Like You Never Went Away is out now via Downtown Records, and you can swoop that on iTunes HERE!

HUMAN MOVEMENT - STRANGER
