BUZZZMIX VOL. 20 - MELVV

The next Buzzzmix has arrived, and this one is pretty special!  When me met Melvv last year, he was talking about going to his senior prom, graduating high-school, and starting to make waves with his original tracks and remixes on the interweb.  When we did a very last minute premiere of his incredible remix of "Midnight Moon" by Oh Wonder (which is included in this Buzzzmix) - I knew Melvv was something special -- so I started telling everyone I knew about this teenage bedroom producer who I believed was going to do great things!  Almost a year later and over one million plays on that remix alone - Melvv is moving into the next phase of greatness - fancy management, fancy agent, and playing dates with the likes of Louis The Child, Autograf, Trippy Turtle, Jai Wolf plus some big things we can't talk about just yet!  WOW!  We have that ultimate feels kind of  bond with Melvv now, and his place in the BB fam will always be held with highest regard .... we love him V much!  You can grab a free download of Buzzzmix Vol. 20 HERE!

THE KNOCKS & MATTHEW KOMA - I WISH (LOUIS THE CHILD REMIX)

Again - the BB fam is strong af today!  Our loves The Knocks made this badass track "I Wish (My Taylor Swift) and Louis The Child just flipped it into a delicious future feels treat  - so tasty!  Both duos are currently on tour - selling out shows across the US ... we can't help but to smile as we watch our friends grow and find success - and we are the most happy when they get together to produce tracks like this! Listen and love!

I had to do it - this week's Buzzz Box could only start off with Flume ... what else would there even be?  Lots of other good stuff in there -- 2016 is starting off with a BANG! 

[PREMIERE] LOUIS THE CHILD - IT'S STRANGE FT. K.FLAY (WIN & WOO REMIX)

Whoop Whoop it's finally here! The Louis The Child "It's Strange" Remix EP has finally hit the interwebs and it's flooded with amazing artists adding their take to LTC's breakthrough hit. While we would absolutely love to support all of the amazing remixes, Erin and I have decided to just bring you two from the star studded package.

We started off earlier with White Cliff's sultry piano take on the original and now it's my pleasure to support Win & Woo's first release of 2016. Chicago must have something in the water, because killer acts are popping up right and left notably being these two homies Louis The Child and Win & Woo. Their version starts rather minimally with hats, claps, piano and vocals, but quickly picks it up giving us a thumping deep house, guitar laden dance chorus that's soo smooth. I've heard rumors of originals and new remixes on the way from Win & Woo, until then you can swoop the entire "It's Strange ft. K.Flay" remix package from your preferred digital retailer here.

We've all been waiting for this remix EP to come out .... and today it's finally happening via Next Wave Records! Louis The Child's breakout hit "It's Strange ft. K.Flay" remix EP drops today, and it's been remixed by so many legends from our Beautiful Buzzz fam - it would have been fun to premiere every track .... but we had to choose, and we chose well! White Cliffs have been very selective about the music they put into the world, creating some really great buzz on the bloggies and in the scene! It's been a minute since White Cliffs last release, so we are super happy to be premiering their meaty version of this track filled with future funky grooves to ease you into your day! Delicious! MIIKE SNOW - GENGHIS KAHN (LOUIS THE CHILD REMIX)

Our favorite children Louis the Child continue to drop mega remixes with this their second release of 2016 coming as an official remix of Miike Snow's "Genghis Khan." This release comes with the announcement of a remix EP for "Genghis Khan" due out Friday Jan. 29th on Atlantic/Downtown Records. LTC's new mix is another perfectly chill combination of light synthwork, relaxed snare, and an eclectic vocal chop that fills out the chorus. I've also heard rumors of the full "It's Strange" Remix EP coming very soon, so be watching for that.

TY DOLLA $IGN - BLASE (LOUIS THE CHILD REMIX)

So, sometimes I wake up and sit at my computer waiting for certain tracks to go live, because I am so excited to put it out into the Beautiful Buzzz world!  This new Louis The Child is one of those kinda tracks ... and I've just been waiting and waiting all morning!  I hit up management even, anxious and impatient to get this bananas good remix of "Blase" by Ty Dolla $ign up!  Our boys do it again and flip this track with their deep future sound for ultimate auditory pleasure! Louis The Child also got that Coachella fire if you missed seeing Monday's announcement!  Y'all .... this is everything! Keep a look out for a new EP to drop in the spring as well! Hold on to your undies cos this Chicago duo is gonna crush 2016!  Sup fam!   

THE BEST OF 2015!

One thing I have always said is that I am definitely not a music journalist!  Beautiful Buzzz was created as an outlet where I can tell my friends about all the great music I come across - and over the past few years we've grown into a fun place where people can find new tracks and listen to my stories! This Best Of 2015 list is personal; it's a combination of tracks I loved and great moments I had working with the artists over the past year - whether it was through the blog, at one of my Beautiful Buzzz shows, or just a night out on the town!!  Enjoy!!
