THE BEST OF 2015!

One thing I have always said is that I am definitely not a music journalist!  Beautiful Buzzz was created as an outlet where I can tell my friends about all the great music I come across - and over the past few years we've grown into a fun place where people can find new tracks and listen to my stories! This Best Of 2015 list is personal; it's a combination of tracks I loved and great moments I had working with the artists over the past year - whether it was through the blog, at one of my Beautiful Buzzz shows, or just a night out on the town!!  Enjoy!!

Oh look here -- my besties are getting together and remixing jams!  Beautiful Buzzz fam is strong with this one, these two LA producers are the essence of what we've built with this blog and brand over the past few years, and we love it! Le Youth puts his 90's R&B vibes on "Embrace ft. George Maple" by Goldroom for a foot stomping booty shaking dance floor favorite!  Can't get enough, Tuesday just got real!

Halloween weekend is going to be disco-licious! It's our first party at the incredible new San Francisco venue The Armory, and this one is going to be a rager!  Crossroads and Tilt bring you the first Deadly Disco, and this line-up is everything.  With Bag Raiders, Le Youth, The Knocks, Penguin Prison, Solidisco, SPLIT and Pacific Disco you can't go wrong! Grab your dancing shoos and costumes, because it's going to be once scarry disco dance party!

My #1 is Le Youth - this legend and I are bonded for life and hey, I'm ok with that. We've just come off a huge sold out show with him this summer - he destroyed our San Francisco party, and that night I could not help but get emotional over how much he is growing and how I am so happy to have such a great friend - who has the best sense of humor and totally gets it, all of it! So hilarious! Today we get a new Le Youth remix of "Make You Feel" by Alina Baraz & Galimatias that is pure 90's R&B disco funk vibes that we love so much from this LA producer. He can definitely give you what you need! This track officially drops September 4th via Ultra Records - you know what to do! 

[NEW SHOW] LE YOUTH + SATIN JACKETS + KARL KLING (RAC) + SPLIT | JULY 10 @ MEZZANINE - SAN FRANCISCO

You guys may not know this - but I have been trying to bring Le Youth back to the bay since our last show together - NYE 2013!!  He is so on fire and in high demand I kept missing my chance!   You may also not know that Le Youth is my super homie and we actually rage together all over the US - and he was #1 in our Best of 2014 list - and we both love dogs! FINALLY - Beautiful Buzzz is presenting Le Youth at Mezzanine on July 10, along with German nu-disco legend Satin Jackets, as well as another awesome homie and 1/2 of RAC - Karl Kling, topping things off with hometown hero Split!!  What??   This is BANANAS!   Tickets are on sale now and will not last! Can't wait for this one!

Well, here it is - the best thing to ever happen to music in the Beautiful Buzzz world! Not only are these two legends brilliant masters of that funky disco vibe we all love, they are also amazing people and great friends - we love them very much! With Le Youth being one of my besties - of course I'm gonna talk about this new Flaxo remix of "TOUCH" that came out this week.  This New York producer has put a brilliant future sound on the funky jam that I am so so so about right now!!  It's nice to hear Le Youth with a future flavor! Flaxo is rad - everyone should get into this and grab that free download! 

LE YOUTH - R E A L (TONALLY REMIX)

I was able to spend some quality time with many homies this past weekend in Miami during WMC/Ultra including my boy Le Youth -- but it always seems that my time with Le Youth is random, hella funny, never really planned, and always the highlight of my night.  He's a pretty great friend, seems like all we do is laugh.  So of course today I am super happy to see this new remix of "R E A L" by fresh brand spanking new Seattle based producer Tonally!! This is pure fire!!  Tonally definitely put a edgy spin on this already super sexy track - I love it!!  Grab this one as a free download kids!!

What a great way to start off the week!!  Two of my favorite producers getting together and messing around with jams -- such vibes!!  Figgy has put this signature sexy/smooth spin on "REAL" by Le Youth!  These two legends are a great match!!  We also have a show coming up with Figgy this weekend in LA at our VITAL: Pool Party with Vitalic Noise!  It's free with RSVP - so if you are in LA and wanna soak up some D's with us -- get on that list!
