THE KNOCKS - HEAT (FT. SAM NELSON HARRIS) (MANILA KILLA REMIX)

RemixErin MaherComment

My day today is totally bananas! I think I got too into my Thanksgiving break and forgot that I have one million things to do all the time ... but that's work, and holy crap my work makes me happy! Like this track for example, for my work it's my responsibility to find great artists like The Knocks years ago and write about their jams on BB and throw parties with them in multiple cities to support them on their rise to greatness!  DONE!  And then there is yung Manila Killa from that Moving Castle crew whom we've been swooning over and supporting from day one it seems, and are now watching and helping him find his way to greatness as well!  This is my job as Rave Nanny, to throw parties, write about, take care of and love amazing emerging artist - how is this real life?  Manila Killa crushed this remix of "Heat" by my babies The Knocks ... get on it!

MANILA KILLA - YOUTH FT. SATICA (THE REMIXES // K?D AND QRION)

Remix, MusicErin MaherComment

I love me some remixes - especially when it's a track like this remixed by a couple of brilliant young artists like these two legends riiight here.  Our most favorite yung future producer K?d and the lovely Japanese producer Qrion put their spin on "Youth ft. Satica" by Manila Killa. Both are fantastic modern forward thinking versions, and both give me all the feels! Both are available for free download via soundcloud players above - which you can also find on the Moving Castle soundcloud page HERE

MANILA KILLA - YOUTH (FEAT. SATICA)

Music, Original MixEricComment

Ahh so much music to get to today! If you've ever been on BB before (if you're new then hello! welcome, we're glad you're here) then you know Manila Killa and Moving Castle. I could sing praises about his consistently beautiful, melodic and well produced music, but lets focus on "Youth (feat. Satica)." Swirling pads, and background vox effects accompany melodic synth plucks and soaring saws all underneath Satica's mellifluous vocals. "Youth" is just an ear pleaser, and it's relaxing the hell out of my afternoon. You can nab this on iTunes here.

JACK GARRATT - SURPRISE YOURSELF (GRYFFIN + MANILA KILLA REMIX)

Music, RemixErin MaherComment

I have this feeling like today is going to be a long day! When I wake up and my dogs are lying on me in such a way that I cannot get out of bed without struggling to be released from their hold, it's usually their super puppy powers trying to tell me I would be better off just staying in bed. That just happened! So, I figured starting the day off with some of my homies getting together making sweet jams is the best way to go, because at least I have power over that! Gryffin and Manilla Killa drop this very cool collab remix of "Surprise Yourself" by Jack Garratt that has vibes for days! Packed full of synthy beats and broken rhythms, this remix is dance floor fire! I hope it makes your day fabulous!

MANILA KILLA - ALL THAT'S LEFT FT. JONI FATORA (THE M MACHINE REMIX)

Music, RemixEricComment

Yay! I'm definitely excited to see the "All That's Left" remix EP dropping today with some awesome reinventions of Manila Killa's breakout hit. Moving Castle studs Young Wall Street and TJANI provided diverse reworks as well as Myles Travitz, but I'm definitely going to give the nod to one of my favorite electronic artists The M Machine. The M Machine guys just have an uncanny ability to intellectually challenge the musical status quo while making tracks that are sooo sonically robust and well produced. Not to mention how they went wayy into left field in a good way with this remix. It doesn't even hardly resemble the original track, but has moments of greatness especially for me with the melody that hits a minute in and finishes it off at the 6 minute mark. We've come to expect nothing less from The M Machine and it seems like they deliver every freaking time!

MANILA KILLA - ALL THAT'S LEFT (FT. JONI FATORA)

Music, Original MixErin MaherComment

There is just something about Manila Killa that I love so much - everything he puts down I can't wait to pick up and stick it in my little shirt pocket next to my heart! Some of my favorite tracks/remixes are from this legend, and today he releases his fantastic new original "All That's Left (ft. Joni Fatora)" and I'm the happiest girl ever! Manila Killa mixes funky somewhat tropical feels with warm future beats among light airy vocals .... it's kinda perfection! Another slam dunk from this DC producer and Next Wave Records!  You guys can swoop this from iTunes HERE!

THE BEST OF 2015!

Music, Original Mix, RemixErin MaherComment

One thing I have always said is that I am definitely not a music journalist!  Beautiful Buzzz was created as an outlet where I can tell my friends about all the great music I come across - and over the past few years we've grown into a fun place where people can find new tracks and listen to my stories! This Best Of 2015 list is personal; it's a combination of tracks I loved and great moments I had working with the artists over the past year - whether it was through the blog, at one of my Beautiful Buzzz shows, or just a night out on the town!!  Enjoy!!
