KALEENA ZANDERS - STRONGER THAN I'VE EVER BEEN (PIANO EDIT)

This one is special right here. Kaleena Zanders' wonderful voice has been featured numerous times on our pages for her work with SNBRN, is the voice behind his epic cover of "California Love," and has also been a workhorse the last couple years not only performing live at many major music festivals (Coachella, Middle Lands, Splash House to name a few), but also grinding in the studio with Gigamesh, Breathe Carolina, Loud Luxury, Madeaux, Vindata and others. After being featured so much, it was only a matter of time before we got a KZ original. Well finally we've been gifted this gem and when she sent it over it was almost an automatic OF COURSE I'LL SUPPORT THIS! Granted the tune is a little different from our normal blend of electro/pop, but the combo of simple piano and vocals is a time tested formula that clearly exposes the quality performance and songwriting of the tune. Produced by the duo dirtyMonster, the song was also recently featured in a promo ad for season 2 of STAR on FOX, it must be an honor to have your song featured on a show that's based upon the lives of budding musicians. This song is emotional, impactful and soulful. Everything we would expect from KZ, and damn she knocked it out of the park.

Not gonna lie - I've had a fan girl crush on Alexander Lewis for a minute. Not only does he bring a creative twist to his music, developing a signature sound all his own with his trombone, he also fucking slays a live set like nobody's business. Our next Buzzzmix Vol. 42 comes from this Los Angeles producer, and all I can say is get ready to throw some serious trap arms. This one is packed full of so much new music from this legend that we're kinda flipping out. Dude this new one from RKCB is just bonkers in a good way. It starts with a fat horn synth sound that just blasts away immediately with a funky bass line underneath that sweeps you off your feet from the second you hit play. By the time the vocals come in you're immediately in a tense form of anticipation wondering where the hell else is this track going?? It maintains this precarious equilibrium of funky bliss throughout with smatterings of shiny pads and glitchy patches flashing in and out. No better way to start off a Monday morning than with a premiere of a super chill jam filled with all the feels! This fresh duo just nailed it! Los Angeles producer and vocalist jy and Los Angeles songstress tribes. just dropped a bitter sweet electro R&B fused track "Release Me." [PREMIERE] PHIILO - KEEP ON

Some songs grab you on the first listen and others take time to grow on you. For me, this new one by Phiilo definitely falls into the former category, and I’m excited to get to premiere it for you today. The Denver-based live electronic duo is starting to see some tangible success so far in the form of a recent sold-out show supporting Viceroy, a release with MrSuicideSheep that landed on the Spotify Viral charts, and upcoming releases via PRMD Records. 

Their latest “Keep On” is an uplifting soulful future bass groove with all original instrumentation and vocals. The soundscape created isn’t dissimilar from other live electronic acts killing the game now such as Lostboycrow, Opia, or Autograf. Jonny William’s soft weathered vocal trades the spotlight with funky guitar licks, thick synth chords, snappy percussion, and an array of other lush production elements courtesy of Nick Carruth. I’m bumping this one on repeat and I think you will be too after the first play through.

ASHDOWN - LOOKING BACK

Ashdown has given us another special record in "Looking Back." The record is a buttery fusion of soul and attitude. His narrative song-writing style will attract audiences as it pairs with a deep and mellowed bass. The track is subtle and not overbearing while remaining emotionally impactful. According to the artist, "I think this track maybe has a bit more attitude to it then my other music. This song in general terms is about how not knowing something or forgetting about something can be a good thing. PLUTO - FIGHT FOR YOU FT. MAX

We're getting used to talking about teenage producers - lately it seems a whole new batch of yung thugs making fresh beats has emerged as the next generation of music makers. After celebrating his birthday just a few days ago (I believe turning 17), Pluto drops this monster track "Fight For You ft. Max" and I am floored!  There is so much depth and soul here, it's hard to believe this is the work of a teen. Max's vocals soar through melodic melodies of future feels and deep bass beets for rhythmic pleasures galore! I see great things happening for Pluto this year ... you can swoop a free download HERE!

WOW! Can Medasin be any more amazing? Honestly, in my opinion he's been one of the most exciting newcomers this year. This Dallas producer has taken "Feel It Still" by Protugal. The Man and flipped it into the most sexy mix I have heard all week! Medasin piles on thick layers of soulful vibes with slow bass beats and light melodies topped off with easy going vocals .... this is lazy summertime lovin' feels for days! We were lucky enough to feature Medasin at our SXSW show this year in Austin, and his live shows live up to all the hype! Get into this one kids!
