DJ SLIINK - TEXT UR NUMBER (REMIX) FT. (FETTY WAP + DJ ENVY)

Born and raised in Jersey, I have to admit- there’s nothing I love more than a good ol’, quality Jersey Club record. That said, it was only natural that when I was passed along the legendary DJ Sliink’s latest release, I couldn’t resist sharing its Jersey club greatness with all of you.

Those who are dedicated Fetty Wap fans (like myself) are most likely familiar with his 2017 jaunty single “Text Ur Number,” which had previously credited The Breakfast Club's DJ Envy and Sliink with its initial release. But interestingly enough, the rendition I'm posting here is not a "remix" fundamentally. Rather, this is what was supposed to be the original production of ”Text Ur Number.” But of course, radio couldn’t handle the quick-tempo vocal chops and bouncy, blood-pumping beat behind the latter and put out something that was more “radio-friendly” instead. All I have to say is, I am much more than thankful this OG version was revealed.

KILL PARIS - RED LIGHTS FT. DOTTER (MADNAP REMIX)

Making massive waves in the electronic music industry, LA’s own Madnap returns with a remix of Kill Paris’ “Red Lights” featuring Dotter.  A creator with a deep sense of wanderlust, Madnap has performed in cities by the likes of NYC, Chicago, and even London, England. As his global influence continues to unfold, his dexterity follows the same pattern. Fluid and versatile, this particular flip is an echoing chamber of textured production, consciously rewiring KP’s original mix. Radiating walls of synth drip with swagger, puncturing the OG mix with a revitalizing energy. Robust and memorable, this “Red Lights” remix is one of his finest flips to date. Friday is finally here and I am so ready to chill! It's pouring rain in San Francisco and I'm soaked to the bone - but at east I have my headphones and this jam to make things feel all right! Our boy Alexander Lewis just dropped this sultry remix of "Don't Call Me ft. Yuna" by TOKiMONSTA .... HUGE! This one is soaked in drippy sticky R&B groove with that AL brass vibe that is hella delicious .... it's perfect for that sexy time!  You know what to do ... swoop this HERE! 

JACK AND JACK - BEG (PRINCE FOX REMIX)

Happy Monday y'all! Thought I would kick this week off with a fresh new remix from our boy Prince Fox! He's put his perfectly posh dance pop sound to "Beg" by Jack and Jack with bouncy future bass beats and soulful juicy rhythms .... you can't help to groove! LOST KINGS - DON'T CALL (SNUGS REMIX)

My ideal man has glowing, brooding eyes. He lets me hold him when I'm sad. My ideal man has a cute snaggle tooth that humbly accentuates his imperfections. He knows what it's like to be blue, so he's always empathetic. My ideal man is a musician- he is a small squishy blob called Snugs. His latest release is a charismatic flip of Lost Kings' "Don't Call." Combining elements of multiple genres, this remix has moments of contemporary future-bass, idyllic vocals, and vague aromas of tropical house. While preserving the integrity of the original track, Snugs simultaneously makes "Don't Call" his own. Its complexity is outstanding yet strays from the hectic while he blends polar tones ultimately executing the sum of its parts. THE CHAINSMOKERS - YOU OWE ME (FAREOH REMIX)

In 2018, the world of music and art is in a state of a never-before-seen flux. Overalls are back, and Champion is officially "hypebeast;" with only 2 years until the roaring 20s, contemporary aesthetics are as distinguished as they've ever been. But groovy looks, and fresh new music reap dogmatic, and know-it-all-attitudes. One of EDMs most recognized names, despite their monumental success and fan-base, The Chainsmokers, are frequently criticized for lack of originality and dexterity. While the duo quite literally sets trends for the millennial generation, they can't seem escape the skeptical hive mind which surrounds their music. 

Fortunately, New York-based producer, Fareoh just flipped The Chainsmokers' "You Owe Me" into a more dynamic, distinguished piece. With a whopping 31 million plays on YouTube, "You Owe Me" is actually one of the lesser known tracks from the smokers, which ultimately allows Fareoh's signature cadences to revitalize a seemingly "mainstream" track. This flip accelerates the tempo of the original, creating a space of adrenaline and bliss. Radiating bouts of synth expand across the foundation of the single, creating a spacious ebb and flow. Here, a song originally made for radio plays and arena tours effortlessly became an individualistic creation, with an underground EDM aroma. Both emotional and dance-floor-ready, Fareoh is solidifying himself as one of the years' most proficient producers/mixers.  

HAYDEN JAMES - NUMB FT. GRAACE (PLUKO REMIX)

Every time I listen to this track, I fall deeper in love with this up-and-coming producer .... it's fire! PLUKO is not new to the BB pages, but recently he had to do a wee name change.  Remember that youngster PLUTO we raved about HERE .... same guy except a pupper from Disney was sweatn' him so now we have PLUKO and there it is! His flip of "NUMB ft. Graace" by our love Hayden James is delicious, I'm totally swooning! This one is out now via Future Classic and you can swoop that download HERE, and catch him on tour with ODESZA over the next few weeks. 

DUA LIPA - BE THE ONE (KRANE REMIX)

It's never a bad thing to talk about our hometown hero KRANE! This Bay Area babe crushes every time! His latest release is this siiiick remix of "Be The One" by Dua Lipa - and pretty sure this is my jam of the week! KRANE spreads that sexy future bass sound all over this flip like nobody's business!  Delicious! He's got all kinds of tour dates coming up and festival plays ... JEREMY ZUCKER FT. BLACKBEAR - TALK IS OVERRATED (MANILA KILLA REMIX)

When I read the description on this track how this is the start of a new chapter for our boy Manila Killa, I got all the feels! This LA producer has been on the forefront of our little future bass / future pop scene, and now with a new year comes new music and the next step in our journey. His latest remix of "Talk is Overrated" by Jeremy Zucker ft. Backbear is fantastic with that smooth future sound we all love! I'm sure we'll see much more music from this legend in the months to come as well as a new tour - can't wait!
