There is only one thing I am bummed about over my decision to move to San Francisco, and that is I chose to move over the dates PVT was playing west coast shows .... with Menomena. Yea, I had to miss that. I can't even imagine how mind-blowingly good that show must have been, and now they are somewhere in middle America out of reach, and will be returning to the west coast but to the pacific northwest....again, very much out of reach!
Then they have to make matters worse by releasing a second new single "Nightfall" which is so fucking good it pretty much makes me want to cry! PVT are that special breed of experimental rockers (much like tour buddies Menomena and one of my personal favorites The Darcys) where the music strikes through your soul like lightning..... they leave an emotional imprint that you can really feel .... and this is why I love music so much!
The new PVT record Homosapien will be out in 2013, and they will be joining fellow Aussie musical friend Gotye as well as Brit punk-dancers Bloc Party for some Europe dates, and then a headlining tour in UK and Europe. I do hope they come back to the states soon so I can fulfill my need to see this band ....
