What happens when you take Santah frontman Stanton McConnell and add San Francisco's longest happy hour with $3 pints, facts about whales, Phish tour stories, a Loving Cup, guest list privileges, west coast bands, a dance floor, and me? One hell of a good time! When my friend from Chicago based indie rock band Santah let me know he was going to be in my city for a few days, I knew we would have ourselves an epic night, and that we did! So it's very fitting that their new single "I Love The Way You Seal A Deal" was premiered on Rolling Stone earlier this week and that I am now talking about it.
Inspired by the disorientation in his own love life, McConnell penned Santah's newest single, "I Love the Way You Seal A Deal" to play out a fantasy of fiercely committing to 'the good, the bad, and perhaps even more disillusionment' that was ahead. This is the latest track off of recently released You're Still A Lover EP. Full of soaring choruses, lush arrangements and their patented sincere lyricism, that has PASTE noting, "You're Still A Lover molds into a dreamlike stream of consciousness proclaiming hopes for love and happiness."
