I remember the first time I saw Earlimart live - they opened for Elbow at the Avalon in Hollywood in April of 06, and I had no idea who they were, but I knew I LOVED them! I was just settling into my new Hollywood apartment - I had been living in Prague, Czech Republic for a while going to school and seeing the world - and coming back to SoCal and deciding Los Angeles was my new home, I was hitting the music scene pretty hard - just starting to break the surface of what was going on in this beautiful city.
So I had never heard of Earlimart - and at the time they were (and still are) one of LA's top buzz bands, and I learned soon enough why......because they are amazing! It has been four years since we have heard a peep from Earlimart, so it brings me so much joy to see a new single and plans for a new album! "97 Heart Attack" is the first single from upcoming release System Preferences coming out digitally September 18, and then on CD and Vinyl on October 16 via The Ship.
