BUZZZMIX VOL. 33 - BKAYE

Who's having fun today? I know we are having a blast in the BB office because we're psyched to release our next installment in the Buzzzmix Series. Vol. 33 comes from a fresh up-and-coming SoCal producer BKAYE. We came across his music earlier this year and were super impressed, we even invited him to play a BB show in San Francisco. His latest remix of "Ruins" by Ryder is crushing the soundcloud plays and charted in the top 5 on HypeM, and it also starts of this delicious future feels mix. Lately I've been pretty excited about this Los Angeles producer! I had a friend send me one of his tracks a few months back and I've been kind of gaga over Unlike Pluto ever since. The kid has skills! Today I get to premiere his latest remix of "Be Right There" by Diplo & Sleepy Tom and I gotta say I am not mad about it! Unlike Pluto perfectly mixes a disco house vibe with future feels finding a sweet spot between the two sounds -- it's so delicious! I'm thinking we are going to see some big moves from Unlike Pluto this year, and I can't wait for what's next! Until then, this one will be a repeat all week long!

It's Sunday and I've been hibernating all weekend, sometimes a girl needs a whole weekend of Netflix & Chill. However, I woke up this morning and thought ... I need nothing but delicious bass music in my face!  Good thing the legends Boombox Cartel dropped this phat remix of "Be Right There" by Diplo & Sleepy Tom!  A few weekends ago I had the pleasure of meeting and hanging with 1/2 of this Los Angeles duo -- we caused a little trouble while having so much fun, definitely looking forward to the next adventure!  This new remix is included on the Be Right There Remix EP which you can stream or download HERE!

Soundcloud is such a great way to get exposed to new music, and lately we have noticed that our feed is being filled with all sorts of people sharing tracks. 99% of these people who are sharing are actually artists, reposting their label mates, or their homies, or just stuff they are listening to that they found on Soundcloud. In my opinion, so far "Where Are Ω Now" is the best track of the year. Skrillex and Diplo crushed, and ended up turning me into a Belieber ... for real! So, when I heard this version from our homies GHOSTS I did a little happy dance ...... because it's brilliant! GHOSTS are no strangers around these parts, we have talked about a number of their tracks in the past - but when this hit my inbox it was pure joy! They used the Ember Island cover instead of the original ... it's so beautiful ... I must have already listened to it 100 times!
