ADAM SNOW - 9 TO 5 FT. FREDDIE GIBBS AND TEDY ANDREAS

A producer who fearlessly creates without any hesitation, Adam Snow is back from a creative hiatus with his new single and visual for “9 to 5” feat. accomplished lyricist and hip-hop artist Freddie Gibbs and Houston-native rapper/producer Tedy Andreas. “9 to 5” is the first single to be revealed from Adam’s forthcoming debut full-length project As Luck Would Have It. The combination of Snow’s smooth production and both Gibbs and Tedy Andreas’ verses set a foundation for what is shaping up to be the biggest year in Snow’s developing career. IAN MUNRO & UZ - WITHOUT ME (FEAT. SOMBER)

New Zealand producer/DJ Ian Munro teams up with LA-based trap boss UZ to reveal their 5-track Liminal EP. Released on UZ’s Quality Good Records, the EP is a cinematic win saturated with both mellow and heavy-hitting cadences. Shrouded in a hip-hop reverb, “Without Me” is the fourth track from the EP. Anchored by a down-tempo trap beat, featuring swaggered vocals from SOMBER, this hybrid track is a cornerstone cut in the newly released EP. [PREMIERE] ABRAHAM TILBURY - OCEAN (FEAT. DIEMNE)

Australian label Mammal Sounds Records is on an upward trajectory of noteworthy success. Despite only having a few releases under their belt, each track is an epic unveiling of brilliant sounds and musical ideas. Their freshest release is a curtain call for the Australian jack of all trades, Abraham Tilbury. “Ocean” boasts a feature from Melbourne rapper Diemne- a fantastic collaboration that gives rise to a new age of hip-hop. While electronic music and hip-hop are often seen as polar genres, their diverging cadences are inherently dependent on each other. Like and yin and yang, Abraham Tilbury and Diemne combine Lo-Fi, electronic production with sultry verses and shadowy vocals. Denver’s own Thoreau returns plunging himself in the deep waters of hip-hop. The well versed producer is revered for his charming, down-tempo electro-pop signature. Challenging his own style with a sense of unfettered swag, Thoreau unveils, “In For.” Boasting his own slackened verses on top of an easy-going beat, “In For” yields a romantic mantra, manifesting the hardships of relationships and heartbreak. With over a million streams across his entire discography, the wanderlust producer is showcasing no signs of stagnancy. Despite contemporary rap music being frequently criticized by old-heads for not channeling Tupac and Biggie, today’s take on hip-hop actually works as a curtain call for collaboration and creative restoration. Our favorite little blue booger, Snugs, composed of two multi-talented musicians who manipulate organic electronic production, have returned with their novel remix of Lil Skies’ “Nowadays.” Capitalizing on Lil Skies’ melodramatic flow, and rolling hip-hop cadence, Snugs gives “Nowadays” a vibrant treatment that redefines the mantra of the original piece. Using elements of spacious, radiating synth, the duo repaints the frame of “Nowadays” with pastel colors while lightning strikes between each note. A stellar balance of indie-electronic, and modern-urban flow, this flip is an interstellar rework that bumps with ease.
