It’s the first day in December as well as Giving Tuesday … so I’m going to give a few tracks from last month a second listen and share them … with all y’all. It’s all about the pop today. Electro-pop, dance-pop, all the pop … what would life be without pop music? My first selection comes from our long time darling and Austrian producer filous. We’ve been raving about him for years, and this new track “Trying Not to Think About You” has that great pop hook that catches your ear and draws you in … I’ll be singing this melody for hours! Nina Chuba’s vocals are sweet and savory with all the vibes … what a great collaboration between these two artists. Listen and love!

As we enter into the final month of 2020, it’s not clear things will never be the same … and months and months with out live music has taken it’s toll on our broken spirits. However, there is no ned to continue to suffer because Hot Since 82 dropped his new full length album Recovery and it will answer all your delicious deep house needs! I watched his Hot Air Balloon Set over the weekend and this track “Loverdose” really stuck out for me. It’s super sexy and steamy …. I am longing for a dance floor with blinky lights but my San Francisco studio apartment will have to do for this party of one during COVID restrictions. I know we really don’t have sides any more, but let’s just pretend we holding vinyl. So good! It’s energy and vibe is everything that’s amazing in the world. Lucky for us, our homie and Australian producer CASSIAN just delivered a delicious remix of said track and were swooning. This one is dance floor fire y’all!

We’ve covered his Disclosure, Lorde, Justice, and LSD remixes already, but his new one needs to be added to the list. He adds a sunny flavor to RL Grime and Daya’s hit “I Wanna Know” and I just love it! Get down to Justice’s latest remix and expect new originals from him very soon.

Also, the fact that it’s yung Justice Skolnik putting his spin on “D.A.N.C.E.” makes this track all the better! Justice doing Justice …. oh yeaaaaa! This Bay Area producer has been killing it with one phat track after another, and this funky electro remix is a little bit dark, and a little bit sweet, and 100% rad! TÂCHES - HEART OVER HEELS EP
Original Mix, MusicCommentIf you don’t already know who TÂCHES is, then it’s best you start to familiarize yourself. The man is an absolute musical genius, and we have the proof to back it up.
Diving head first into 2019 with an incredibly clean 5-track project titled “Heart Over Heels”, TÂCHES rises above the electronic norms through an eclectic fusion of house, minimal and dance. Songs such as “I Don’t Look Back” and “Meet You in the Moonlight” are more melody-driven, while other tracks like “Dances With Wolves” and “Sofia’s Theme” are led by uptempo percussions.
The single we are choosing to highlight of the 5 is “Meet You in the Moonlight”- an invigorating blend of disco, house and tribal that’s guided by soulful vocal samples. But the last thing we want to do is downplay the other tracks, as every single one is just as unique and beautiful as the next. Take a listen and you decide which one is your favorite, though I can guarantee it’s definitely not going to be an easy choice.
