NOELLE - 30K

Music, Original MixAlli LindseyComment

Sultry, sweet, and downright divine, Toronto starlet Noelle just delivered her debut EP 30k. A dance with swanky alternative-pop complemented by hints of jazz and Hollywood noir, Noelle’s debut studio extended play is nothing short of seductive. Her crystalline vocal instrument is the conduit that drives each ethereal track into the next, seamlessly blending feminine worlds of glamour and romance. While some tracks offer upbeat, pop-centric hits, other cuts are imbued with a tranquil catharsis. Speaking on the project Noelle says, ““Since the release of my first single, I knew that I wanted this EP to represent me as an artist and I’m really proud that we’ve achieved that,” said noelle. “It was so important for me to make sure 30k showcased every side of my artistry, proving that I’m not one-dimensional. This approach to crafting an EP allowed me to be free during the writing process, making music I felt my fans would love.”

EMANUEL - ALT THERAPY

Music, Original MixAlli LindseyComment

Raw, poignant, and perfectly human, Canadian artist Emanuel delivers his deeply personal debut album Alt Therapy. This affecting 12-track opus follows the album’s sibling EPs Alt Therapy Session 1: Disillusion and Alt Therapy Session 2: Transformation. While Emanuel’s musical depth runs deep thanks to the LPs yawning piano riffs, barebones production style, and poetic flow, Alt Therapy is as musically sound as it is intellectually rousing. In the spaces between his R&B prowess and soulful vocal chops listeners experience pain, hope, dispair, and triumph. A celebration and ode to all things Black and beautiful, this narrative album will echo through time.

Music, Original MixSara NatkinsComment

Zuri Jr. is a poet. Slated to unveil his sophomore studio album Stop It God in May, the NYC singer/songwriter just delivered the lead single to the highly-anticipated record “How To Feel.” A zealous and enchanting cut, “How to Feel” boasts a sunny production style complimented by a steady beat that highlights his dynamic vocal instrument. Fluttering from intimate verses into fiery falsetto, each line feels more like a hymn than a verse. A beautiful foundation for the impending album, “How To Feel” is a sacred charm embedded into Zuli Jr.’s already-impressive catalog.

STEFAN MAHENDRA - ALRIGHT

Music, Original MixSara NatkinsComment

Following the release of his debut single late last year, UK-based singer/songwriter Stefan Mahendra is back with another smooth jam titled “Alright” via Nurtured Ideas. Building on the potential he flashed in his debut single “Lovin’ You Is Easy,” Mahendra’s new crooner is a worthy follow-up to his last release. Subtle, simple, and elegant, it’s another shining display of his creative mastery of the R&B and soul genres. “Alright” tugs the heartstrings from the start to finish, pulling the listener in with relatable lyrics and enveloping them in warm, soulful undertones that mesh effortlessly with his smooth, baritone voice. Only now starting to hit his stride and with a slew of new music on the way, the future is exceedingly bright for Stefan Mahendra.

Music, Original MixEricComment

The man is back with another melodic masterpiece. The Mansoor that is. Axel Mansoor, the talented singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist known for his flawless falsetto, catchy lyrical cadence, and glistening guitar licks just dropped his second single of 2019. The track, entitled simply “Busy”, is a chill pop record with sweet synths, sparkly guitar lines, and a message about being so caught up in the constant millennial-grind for success that the important people and things in life fall by the wayside. It’s not quite summer yet, but this tune is getting me primed for chill hangs in the backyard or at the beach. Definitely going on the daytime jams playlist! Go peep!

Based in Athens, Greece, DJ and producer Mel Ody brings his take to the future bass genre with his latest “Reign It In.” The track is one that has been in the works for over a year from both Mel Ody and vocalist Rory Hope.
