After debuting lead singles "For The Ride" and "Darkness," techno virtuoso Lupa unveils her long-awaited debut EP, Insatiable. A sonic 5-track work of brooding soundscapes and supreme production, Insatiable was released via none other than mau5trap. A wolf in women's clothing, Lupa dares to be different. Brandishing a unique style of new wave techno, the creative reinvents the wheel of traditional club sound. Inspired by the likes of Depeche Mode and the Talking Heads, Lupa's sound is all-encompassing gritty darkness. Inviting listeners on a journey into the darkest corners of the mind, Lupa's Insatiable sits at the helm of eerie and emotive. Lead singles "For The Ride" and "Darkness" led the charge with their masterful fusions of old-school trance and innovative techno embellishments. Insatiable's newest additions include "The Night" and "Icarus," two contrasting yet complementary feats. "Icarus" is staggering industrial techno laced with a typical larger-than-life kick. "The name comes from one of my favorite stories in Ovid’s 'Metamorphoses,'" explains Lupa, "the story itself is about a man who goes against the way of nature and the Gods and in return is punished." Still incorporating industrial elements, "The Night" delivers additional robust, melodic vocal flair. The nostalgia-yearning single juxtaposes airy vocal performances against its veracious synth work.

JONNY SUM - I DREAM EP
Music, Original MixCommentIt’s Friday, and you know what that means- it’s time for the weekend and time to finally get that stressful work relief on the dance floor. That’s why today we wanted to showcase Brooklyn-based artist Jonny Sum’s brand new EP, ‘I Dream’. This two track EP is a dream for any house music fanatic.
The first of the two, the title track as well as the single we decided to highlight here, bursts with an energetic rhythm that you can easily step to. It’s matched with a minimal melody that accentuates the pulsating beat that’s overwhelmingly addictive.
The second single, ‘Mood100’, is exactly what it’s titled. The track will undoubtedly release feel-good endorphins through its vibrating bass, minimal keys, and seesawing sound design. Get your night started and your heart pumping with this diamond of a release.
BUZZZMIX VOL. 17 - GRAFF (300 MINUTES IN A HOT AIR BALLOON)
Buzzzmix Mixtape, Music, Original Mix, RemixCommentReally excited for this next installment in the BUZZZMIX series! Our homies Graff have slayed the mixtape game over the past few years, and currently they are working on a 6 part series of mixes, each lasting 100 minutes. We figured it would be very cool to feature their third 100 minute mix - 300 Minutes In A Hot Air Balloon - as Vol. 17. This deep house duo gave us a very summertime feels journey with more disco cuts and classic soul vibes that everyone can get down with. We have also featured Graff for the last few years at our SXSW show and it's always been one hell of a party! We tend to get personal on Beautiful Buzzz, which apparently is the biggest reason people love this blog and keep coming back, so we'll do that here as well -- 1/2 of Graff is a dear friend and fellow business associate who has become a major player in the agent world at one of the top artists agencies in the US. A few years ago he took a chance on working with a fresh new promoter with a vision, and without him and his amazing support that girl would not have been able to make big moves in such a short time.... and that promoter was me! All the massive love in the world right here for Graff - they are talented and beautiful, inside and out!! Grab this mixtape as a free download HERE!
