Following the success of his Cosmos & Creature assisted single “Children”, Listenbee has returned with an official remix in tow. Supported everywhere from MrSuicideSheep to Hardwell’s Off The Record on Sirius XM and reaching #1 on Hype Machine, the original was a genuinely jubilant cut with a carefree ethos. Thus it makes sense he’s tapped Attom - whose remix credits include Steve Aoki and Bishop Briggs - for a flip that maintains the youthful energy of “Children” while serving a breezy, chilled out vibe to perfection.

EMBRZ - HEARTLINES FT. MEADOWLARK
Music, Original MixCommentOh boy our favorite Irish downtempo maestro EMBRZ is back smoldering again with "Heartlines." The first single from his upcoming 'Progress EP' due out this summer, "Heartlines" is a tender tune that bobs and weaves its way forward lead by Meadowlark's mesmerizing vocals. If this is an exposé of what's to come from the EP then I'm thinking it will be an absolute joy to listen to - much like this single. You can add this to your favorite playlist on your choice of streaming platforms here.
[PREMIERE] CLAMS CASINO - I'M GOD (SAN HOLO EDIT)
PREMIERE, Music, RemixCommentToday we’re stoked to have the premiere of the latest from everyone’s favorite Dutch producer extraordinaire. I’m particularly excited to premiere a SAN HOLO track as my first premiere with BB!!! Watching the rise of the uber talented Heroic Recordings flagship artist over the past couple years has been exciting to say the least. His inaugural remix series “Don’t Touch The Classics” put him on the map as a talented musician with a keen ability to put a new signature future bass spin on old hip hop classics. Now he’s back with a new remix for “Don’t Touch The Classics 2.0” in the form of an upbeat edit of Clams Casino’s “I’m God”. The original track is off Casino’s 2012 album Instrumental Mixtape 2 and features a sample from Imogen Heap’s “Just For Now”.
San Holo takes the slow burner and livens it up a bit with a driving beat, sweeping melodic synth lines, and multiple dancefloor-friendly drops. He plays with the vocal sample to create new melodies and really bring out the hook from the original. Layered with thick celestial chords and a hefty dose of hi hats and kicks, this track will fit right in on the festival circuit this fall and winter.
Speaking to us about it he said, “‘I’m God’ by Clams Casino has always been one of my favorite tracks, I couldn't find a good way to play it out at shows though so I just ended up making a live edit that would allow me to do so.”
Catch San Holo in the US now on his Gouldian Finch World Tour part 3!
MATOMA - RUNNING OUT W/ ASTRID S (PROPPA REMIX)
Music, RemixCommentBeing from Chicago, I always love to rep Chicago born-and-raised artists. Proppa is a name I had seen on the HypeM charts before so when this track was sent to me, I had to check it out. I also love the original. Such a tune. In this remix, Proppa treats the chill tropical house hit a solid dose of future. The vocal chops and massive synth hits really get me moving. It’s also such a dynamic edit, with a good variety of energy throughout. Nice one Proppa, keep it up.
SKOTT - PORCELAIN (AWAY REMIX)
Music, RemixCommentScandinavian newcomer Skott, who has only released two songs to date, has enlisted the talents of LA-based producer AWAY for her first official remix. AWAY and I met at rooftop party and I’m glad we stayed in touch. A relative newcomer himself, he has garnered serious traction on his first two remixes of THEY.’s “Motley Crue” and Kiiara’s “Feels”, the latter of which topped the Hype Machine charts. (The former still hit #2). His style is incredible unique. You could call it future bass, future beats, maybe future trap, maybe even future dub, but it’s definitely ahead of its time. Deep echoing powerful synths, wood blocks and other uncommon percussive sounds, snappy trap hi-hats - all present. Speaking on the project he told me "AWAY (Alone With All of You) is a music/art project that represents the emotional void present in all of us. We live in an era where we are more connected than ever, but beneath the surface we often feel alone. With deep-rooted influences in experimental rock and electronica, AWAY’s style is boundless. My focus is to create art that conveys emotion and a connection to a darker truth that most of us often suppress." His take on Skott’s emotional debut single “Porcelain”, which Lorde called “the shit”, may just be his best to date. You’ll definitely want to listen to this one more than once.
FØRD - THE PIER (FT. WOODES)
Music, Original MixCommentI met 19-year-old producer FØRD a few months ago at a music industry mixer in downtown LA. He’s super nice, and equally humble and ambitious. The young talent from Byron Bay, Australia isn’t even technically old enough to drink in the States, but he’s already well on his way to having a successful career in music. He’s got some really dope first few tracks, has been jetting across the Pacific for meetings and sessions in LA, and has even played ping pong with Flume already! This latest collab features a fellow Aussie - Melbourne-based singer/songwriter/ producer Woodes - and I’ve gotta believe was written about the Santa Monica Pier and the awe one feels when visiting Los Angeles for the first time. She sings, “Beige-colored kingdom of tall palms and white sand, green dollar bills…I can’t imagine what it’s like to fit in here.” LA definitely has a certain fairytale mystique to it. FØRD’s production certainly gives off calm beach vibes. I really dig his drums, there’s something about them that’s part hip hop, but also a little tribal. Couple that with Woodes’ soft and sensual vocals and you’ve got a perfect song for cruising down the Pacific Coast Highway with your significant other. I’m excited to see what’s next for FØRD, because he’s only getting better.
RL GRIME - CORE (TRAILS FLIP)
Music, RemixCommentIt’s Fri-yay y’all! I’m getting ready to head out into the desert for my first year of Nocturnal Wonderland this weekend. Definitely ready to let go a little stress from the week and get ready to do some dancing and let loose ya know? This tune is helping me out for sure. TRAILS is a name we’ve seen popping up a lot the last year. The rising producer from Germany is becoming known for his unique reworks of Flume, Goldroom, Louis The Child, and others. His lone original “Crying In The Shadows”, released earlier this year, is an awe-inspiring fusion of genres and even includes a killer guitar solo. TRAILS demonstrates a level of understanding of production and musicality that I think is becoming less and less prevalent among many of today’s new producer/DJs. This new take on the classic RL Grime trap banger breathes a whole new life into the track. He injects super summery future bass vibes while still preserving the essence of the original. Keep an eye on TRAILS fam, cause he’s going places!
FRND - FRIEND
Music, Original Mix2 CommentsWow is it already September? That means school is back in session for millions of kids around the world, and it’s time for them to figure out who their friends will be this year. For new L.A. artist FRND, in debut track “Friend” he tells us he’s “good on friends” and he’s “already got enough of them.” This song is so catchy and definitely relatable. You know when you start singing along to a new song the first time you hear it because you feel like you already know it? This is one of those gems. Bouncy guitar sounds, sugary synths, and hooky as hell, “Friend” is a stellar debut from the mysterious new project - I personally can’t wait for more.
