LAKUNO - ECHO FT. BAHAR DOPRAN

Aussie Lakuno and UK based Bahar Dopran come out of nowhere with a track that stays light on its feet, but delivers a punchy drop that gives me chills. Every time I hear something fresh coming out of Australia, I question my life choices that led me to somehow not be in Australia as I write this. New Jersey rapper Rahmaan just teamed up with French producers Workers to drop a vibey, bouncy track reminiscent of Anik Khan over a Soulection beat. Adding to a growing pool of rising stars of South Asian descent, Rahmaan's lyrical content and delivery show how a new generation of experiences and culture is infusing itself into hip hop, and music overall. Hip Hop is at least in part defined by its ability to act as a medium for the examination of an individual or group's unique perspective into the American experience. The more diverse these stories are the richer the experience for everyone involved. 

DJ SNAKE - TALK FEAT. GEORGE MAPLE (ELLUSIVE & TRINIX REMIX)

Mystery producer(s)?? Ellusive team up with French producers TRINIX, and the oh so familiar voice of George Maple to reboot the iconic "Talk". With George Maple's emotional lyrics weaving over a slow, ambling bassline, Ellusive & TRINIX breathe new life into an already amazing track. XAN GRIFFIN - U REMIND ME (FT. ANUKA)

California producer Xan Griffin just joined forces with vocalist Anuka to release his first original track. The self described Gemini stays true to himself and delivers some moody goodness, bringing the listener along for an emotional ride, with Anuka's vocals blazing a melodic trail ahead. The release of an original composition of this calibre displays a capability to step up and evolve past the initial stages of big-room remixes and define his own space within the genre.

DC producer Dirty Chocolate just teamed up with vocalist Abbi Press to deliver a slowed down, sexed up cover of The Weekend's "Starboy" and it is inspiring to say the least.
