TYE JAMES - LIES

This latest tune from Tye James ( ½ of KNGDAVD check out their tune "Poppies" if you haven't heard it yet) "Lies" is a deeply personal tune that definitely showcases his vocal prowess. The tremolo guitar and drum sticks comprise the simplistically somber instrumental leaving plenty of room for Tye to make his mark. His piercing full voice easily slides up into falsetto and back down for his vocal improvisations. The lyrics talk about the heady contradictions that have forced him to confront reconciling his spiritual beliefs with the true desires of his heart. A struggle that all too many deal with daily. MEMBA - WARRIOR

Danggg, MEMBA lays it down heavy with a tribal, bass heavy banger i can't get out of my head! Just heavy enough to send the crowd into a frenzy while staying funky enough to not scare away anyone who may not share as strong an affinity for heavy bass tracks as i have come to know and love. Everything i have heard thus far from these gents is golden and versatile, and their live performances feature a healthy portion of live instrumentals that calls my name. AUTUMN IN JUNE - COCAINE EIGHTIES

This is not the first time we've talked about this fresh Los Angeles electro pop newbie, and if he keeps dropping jams like this if definitely wont be the last. Autumn In June has a new single "Cocaine Eighties" and we are loving all the things about it! He mixes up 80's new wave electro funk with 90's R&B with synth pop and hip-hop vibes ... I can't get enough! This kid writes and produces all his own tracks in a log cabin in his South Central back yard that he built himself from Youtube instructional videos ... I can't even make this shit up! He's great, and not listening to Autumn in June is not an option.   

BUZZZMIX VOL. 36 - BIJOU

This little love muffin coming into my life has been one of the highlights of 2016. His manager called it, said we would be instant best friends and we were! Bijou is kinda the shit, and I am psyched for his installment of the Buzzzmix series - Vol. 36 drops today! Part of that hard hitting G-House sound, this Arizona producer is producing some heaters and crushing live sets - we had him play one of our SF shows this past fall and it was bananas! Today we are also announcing Bijou's 2017 winter tour, and if your city is on the list you are in for a real treat.  Here's what he had to say about it .... 

"The Guru tour started off as a fun idea, like hey why don't we put together a tour branded around this record. Once the track was done we thought okay this could be a big one, & decided it could actually happen. For this mix I wanted to showcase some of the stuff ill playing on tour and some unreleased originals as well. I'm so proud to present it to you now & wanna give a HUGE shoutout to my team for working around the clock to make it a reality!"

JOCELYN ALICE - FEELS RIGHT (GALLOWAY REMIX)

Not sure about the rest of you - but your girl is freezing! It seems we are all suffering this winter! It's hella cold everywhere! My SoCal blood is turning to ice in San Francisco, so I've been trying to find the most fire tracks this week to guarantee some steamy dance floor vibes, and this one is topping the list. Part of that delicious Disruptor Records crew, Canadian songstress Jocelyn Alice is crushing with this fabulous dance pop track "Feels Right" - and this is a huge remix from Galloway. I instantly wish it was not 7am so I could blast this at top volume and have my own little dance party, open up my balcony doors and let the music spill out into downtown San Francisco and bounce off the buildings from my 16th floor apartment. So fun! Get into this one kids! 

MOTHICA & ICARUS MOTH - REPUTATION

It’s a Mothy Monday! NY-based Mothica is one of my favorite singers of the past year for her singular voice and the way every word of every song oozes with honest emotion. Aside from her massive hit “Clear” with Pusher, she’s released a number of really impressive originals, now closing out the year with “Reputation” (via Majestic Casual Records) to tide listeners over through the holidays before her next EP coming presumably soon in 2017. Apparently written over a year ago and finished with silky smooth “future” production from coincidentally named producer Icarus Moth (who interestingly is now her live keyboardist), it’s a supremely vibey tune ideal for listening to alone during times of self-reflection.

[PREMIERE] SANDER W & ALEX BRANDT - LOSE MY COOL (ORIGINAL MIX)

Oh man it's holiday break for me, I got to sleep in this morning, it's bright and sunny in LA (albeit a bit cold), but I'm the perfect mood to premiere this upbeat deep house record from Belgium's Sander W and Germany's Alex Brandt. Sander told me he's putting a major emphasis on including live instrumentation into not only his recordings, but also his live show as shown with the sexy sax in his tune "Make You" and now the incredible violin from Violinvasion in "Lose My Cool". This tune has some tropical roots with the xylophone melodies layered throughout, but is a total groover from start to finish. Perfect to bring you back to warmer weather, this is one of 4 tracks from his 'Four-Part Harmony' EP due for release Jan. 30th. Although you can download this one for free right here. 

[PREMIERE] ARYAY - NEVER GONNA LEAVE (DNMO REMIX)

Recently I've become familiar with this fresh British producer DNMO - he hit me up one day to show me some of his tunes and I quickly became a fan. This youngster is pretty great, and when I say youngster I'm not kidding ... the kid is 15, or I think he just turned 16.  Either way I am officially old enough to be his mother. They don't call me Rave Nanny for nothin! Teenager or not, DNMO has some pretty great feels and I think he's going to be showing us some big moves in 2017. This next premiere is a fantastic remix of "Never Gonna Leave" by Aryay, and it's a great example of his big future sound. Get into this one!! You can grab a free download HERE!

I've got a fun one for you right here from mashup king Kap Slap. Now normally we don't usually post mashups, but this combo of tunes really tickled my fancy.
