[PREMIERE] AZURA - LANTERNS

Oh boy! Today I get to do one of my favorite things, and that's premiere a brand spanking new track from a midwest newbie that most of you may not know about .... and this is where I do my happy dance! 20 year old Detroit producer Azura is bringing some serious dance floor heat with "Lanterns" released via our homies at IRL! This is the first official release from New York based collective IRL so this premiere is double special! "Lanterns" is a fantastic mixture of electro house and lush loud eastern influences that will get your booty shakin. It's light and airy feels has put a smile on my face ... this one effortlessly flows into a good time! MORGXN - HARD PILL TO SWALLOW

Nashville born, LA transplant (aren't we all?) morgxn is following up on his ridiculously catchy tune "Home" with his first release of 2017 entitled "hard pill to swallow." This fearlessly vulnerable tune not only puts his vocal brilliance on display with the brilliant falsetto, but also further exposes the moody brilliance that we've seen developing on prior releases. We've also heard that this tune comes with the announcement of the looming Vital EP coming later this year. Brooklyn, you can catch Morgxn at the Neon Gold pop shop 1/20 at Baby's All Right and a few select showcases at SXSW (wink wink) this March. MEMBA - BRAVE (FEAT. DAKK & GIIA)

Bringing the HEAT once again, it's MEMBA, the NYC production duo showing us their worldly trap chops and wide-ranging talent. "Brave" is the kind of track that would win Best Rap/Sung Collaboration if the Grammy's actually featured forward-thinking dope music. Talented female vocalist and frequent MEMBA collaborator GIIA's gorgeous vocal melodies temper Dakk's hard and energetic verses. PATRICK REZA - LIGHTS OUT FT. ABHI THE NOMAD

I've spent the weekend listening to the rain hammer the tin roof on my parents backyard patio, it echos through the house when we have big storms which is quite thrilling for California. With flash flood warnings, closed roads and power outages, I took the opportunity to disconnect and spend quality time with the dogs. Now it's back to work, and I can't think of a better track to kick off the week! Our homie PatrickReza is back with a delicious new track "Lights Out ft. Abhi the Nomad" that's bringing all the future feels. It's not even 8am and I am throwing my trap arms - the feelgood vibes are strong with Abhi's vocals .... swooning! These two legends wrote this track over Skype after Abhi was deported back to France - and big ups to technology! You guys can grab a free download HERE!    

[PREMIERE] RKCB - ENOUGH (HTPKT REMIX)

East Coast maestro HtPkt ratchets up the emotional punch of LA duo RKCB's "Enough", taking the track to another level entirely. Coming off the release of his debut single "Running (ft. Celestial)" HtPkt keeps the energy alive with his first release of 2017. His iteration of "Enough" jumps off with the soothing, melodic vocals of the original track, slowly building the tension until the final cathartic crescendo releases you into the full intensity of the drop. Chicago has been quite a hub for emerging electronic music artists over the past few years, we have no shortage of very young and extremely talented producers making big moves in the midwest ... a far departure from our buzzing EDM capital Los Angeles.  Our next Buzzzmix features one of these fresh faces and he's coming out strong with this one ... damn son! Mielo is bringing big bass vibes and future feels - this is a beast of a mix that is guaranteed to get you bouncing around and throwing those feel good trap arms! ELEPHANTE - PLANS (FT. BRANDYN BURNETTE) [INSTANT KARMA REMIX]

Instant Karma has been making waves since their first release just a year ago. I really loved their "Flor - Unsaid" remix a while back and was excited when they sent me their latest an upbeat tropical infused rework of "Plans" from two BB regulars: Elephante and the workhorse Brandyn Burnette. The original was a joy to listen to check out our review here, but lets talk about what the bright good vibes duo has done for their remix. Using marimba-esque stabs they have built a lush tropical soundscape full of wandering airy arps supporting Brandyn's vocals. We're quickly lead to a bobbing halftime chorus chock full of fun melodies and vox chops. The record grooves along with such upbeat sweetness that it ends a quick 4 min later and I'm clamoring to hit play again.
