FRANK OCEAN - SOLO (LOUIS FUTON FLIP)

Louis Futon has been doing something really cool on his socials. He's been asking his fans to make suggestions on songs he should sample to make beats with, and then making the beats live ... showing us the whole process. Then he's posting the full song so we can all enjoy it's greatness. It's pretty fuckin great to be honest.  It helps those jabronis out there who make statements like "electronic music producers are not real musicians" get a clue. For his second installment, Louis Futon crushed this flip of "Solo" by Frank Ocean.  I expect nothing less than greatness from this legend, Louis Futon constantly blows my mind with this sweet jams! KID FROOPY - DREAMS

Computer music never sounded so good, and on this cool and cloudy San Francisco morning I am totally enveloped with this warm and bouncy new single "Dreams" from Kid Froopy. This young music maker is new on our scene, and he's been making his mark over the past few months with fantastic releases via Moving Castle and Deadbeats. The title of this song is perfect, because I get a very dreamy feeling with light whispery vocals and those perfectly timed breaks - this is dance pop perfection! EMBRZ - HEARTLINES FT. MEADOWLARK

Oh boy our favorite Irish downtempo maestro EMBRZ is back smoldering again with "Heartlines." The first single from his upcoming 'Progress EP' due out this summer, "Heartlines" is a tender tune that bobs and weaves its way forward lead by Meadowlark's mesmerizing vocals. If this is an exposé of what's to come from the EP then I'm thinking it will be an absolute joy to listen to - much like this single. FRND - BE HAPPY

Our favorite amigo FRND is back with an acousticly driven new single "Be Happy" that's a journey of a tune. The beginning starts folk like and mellow, and ends in a sonic sphere of wobbly eclecticness that's starkly contrasting to the terrific acoustic guitar lick that's featured in the beginning. FRND has consistently been showing us he's a real player and the industry is definitely starting to take note. It's easy to see why big numbers are flowing in with such diverse electronic pop tunes like this one - I think you'll definitely dig. You can add this to your groovin' spotify playlist here. CAVEMAN - LIFE OR JUST LIVING (LIL HANK REMIX)

Lil Hank never ever let's me down .... but on the real ... his latest remix of "Life or Just Living" by Caveman is everything. I was recently hangin in LA with Lil Hank, he invited me to come check out the new Next Wave + Moving Castle offices/store front on Melrose and we spent all afternoon talking and cuddling, and I got to watch him do a photo shoot for new press photos, it was super fun. After meeting him I now 100% get what all the fuss is about - not only is he dropping the freshest jams, basically changing the music industry as the first doggo, but he's also so sweet and grateful just to be alive, greeting every person who walks through the door and instantly making friends. He's not afraid to be himself, sit on your lap, or pee on your couch. He even took a nap on Whethan's head while I was there, proving that he's down to collab with other artists any way he can. Such a dope dude, and deserves all the success. However, the music speaks for itself .... just listen to this new track and try to tell me you don't feel all kinds of sexy! Soaked in dank R&B vibes, this electro soul sound is what dreams are made of .... it's like he's able to tap into your feel good vibes with one lick on the face. Amazing! He recently debuted his first live sets at Coachella and in LA, and I can't wait to see what's next from everyone's favorite top industry dog!

BLU J - LIGHT FT. NEVVE

I don't want to say I told you so, but I actually told you so when it comes to Blu J! We've been talking about this west coast duo for a minute, and they just keep climbing that ladder to greatness with one awesome track after another! This week they dropped "Light ft. Nevve" and I am loving every bit! Where is the closest dance floor because I just wanna shake my booty! With big bouncy dance beats and super strong vocals from Nevve, this is the perfect track for your weekend playlist.  

RL GRIME - REIMS

For the past two years, RL Grime has been quietly tucked away in some magical studio where dreams come true, working on this next album. This is OK because, when RL Grime is creating, we are eventually gonna get all the good stuff. This Los Angeles producer gives me the warm and fuzzies with his big bass beats and future feels, his dirty trap sound is nothing but big and sexy. His new track "Reims" is an epic sonic journey without the bells and whistles, he simply puts a wall of music in your face. It's hot OK! I can't wait to hear more RL Grime in the coming year! MANILA KILLA & AOBEATS - I'M OK FT. SHAYLEN

I've been really bad about getting music up the past month. Your girl has a lot going on OK! That being said, I always try to get up tracks from that wonderful LA collective Moving Castle. I <3 all things Moving Castle, and this week two legends came together once again to give us a smokin' new track "I'm OK ft. Shaylen" by Manila Killa and AOBeats. Both officially part of the BB fam, this is the first time they have collaborated since 2015 when they dropped "Helix 2.0" and we are swooning over this one! With soulful pop vocals from Shaylen and bouncy future beats, these boys deliver the goods! You can buy/stream this bad boy HERE!
