[PREMIERE] MATT DIMONA - I JUST WANT YOU

In every young producers life, the day comes when that first original track drops, and the world changes! Sure, they have been making music for years, perfecting their chops with remixes and collabs, but that first original is something special; it's the first time we get to fully look at what's in the artist soul. Must be terrifying! Let's share that moment with Los Angeles producer Matt DiMona this morning as we premiere his first original "I Just Want You."  We are big fans of this kid, and it's been thrilling to watch him come up and we support every brilliant thing he does!  And just as we expected, this track is dope! COMA - HAPPINESS

Any artist that describes themselves as cosmic techno pop has to be worth taking a listen to, so please meet COMA and all their fabulous glory! This German duo caught our ear a few years back when Roosevelt remixed one of their tracks, I was obsessed with it! Today they threw up on the old soundcloud feed their second single "Happiness" taken from album #2 This Side Of Paradise, which is out now via Kompakt. Slaptop ..... sigh ....... Everything he does is so super sexy, and this one has me feeling some kind of way! His latest gem "Can't Figure It Out" is a chilled out groove full of swirly melodies layered with synthy vocals. We have featured this bay area legend many times; we love everything he does! I've been spending quite a bit of time with my Australian fam while here in LA - so seems fitting to put this down for you to pick up! Sydney duo Set Mo have a sick new original that I am loving! "Chasing Forever ft. ALPHAMAMA" was released worldwide this week, and it's filled with tasty deep house vibes, soulful vocals, and all sorts of dance floor feels! ZHU & SKRILLEX & THEY - WORKING FOR IT (ORIGINAL MIX)

Well I remember a point in time when Zhu was being mistaken in the blog world for Skrillex. Long past are those days and Zhu has fully risen to form with his second EP release called the Genesis Series. This track "Working For It" being the last installment on the six song EP is a collab with brand new Mind of a Genius (Zhu's label) signee THEY and the man Skrill himself. This track fits perfectly with the musical branding Zhu has created for himself. Blending the mellowed yet still somehow hyped up stabs of piano and synth melody around a distinctively Skrillex infused bass sound and rhythm. This tune manages to be both laid back and hype which I think is characteristic of most Zhu records. The man, the myth, the intrigue that is Zhu continues to expand the boundaries of the music world.  

[PREMIERE] LEO ISLO - HIGHER LIVING (ORIGINAL MIX)

Happy Thursday! And what a great Thursday it is. Our good friends over at Los Angeles Music Project (LAMP) have given us an absolute gift of a track to premiere today from Arizona bred, Portland transplant Leo Islo! "Higher Living" is a wonderfully written and even better produced track showing off both his silky smooth vocals and frictionless production style. This record will just melt over you taking you on a mellifluous journey of a twofold variety. First I feel this track blossoms with upbeat synth-wave melodies and sounds, but is also coupled with a somewhat melancholy overtone echoed by the lyrics and vocal style. A subtle kick accents a brooding bass line with waves of arpeggiated synths and an absolutely infectious chorus vocal. With this just his second release on LAMP and a relative newcomer to our pages, we have absolutely no doubt he's firmly implanted to stay.  

MOON BOOTS - RED SKY

Oh Moon Boots .... always dropping the smoothest disco house beats! Time and time again he makes us want to shake our bootys; every track is perfection! "Red Sky" is the latest original from this Brooklyn based producer which has been brought to us via Anjunadeep - many many feels for this one kids! Moon Boots is definitely showing us his deeper side!  You guys can swoop it HERE!

PEGBOARD NERDS - EMOJI (ORIGINAL MIX)

"Hey Now! C'mon Now!" The Pegboard Nerds cap off their Pink Cloud EP with this energetic final new tune "Emoji." In classic PN fashion you're gonna get plenty of bass with this one, but wrapped up in some spritely explosive melody and vocals. The Nerds are set to release the Pink Cloud EP on October 23rd, and all proceeds from the EP and merch sales in October are going to help support the cancer fighting organization Fuck Cancer. I love it when artists use their creative expression toward a good cause, and this is a total win-win for everyone. OYSTER KIDS - CREEPY (ORIGINAL MIX) + MUSIC VIDEO

Just in time for Halloween, new kids on the block Oyster Kids have delivered to us a deliciously "Creepy" new tune that is equal parts mellowed out synth pop with a hint of something sinister underneath. I'm a big fan of the harmonies, the synth soundscape and snappy snare throughout this one. "Creepy" is setting the bar pretty high for the newcomers and I can't wait to see what they have next up their sleeve. Already making waves on Hype Machine at #8 as I'm writing this, today they've also released a new music video to accompany this breakout single. Talk about creepy, the two guy and girl leads are precariously smiling throughout reminiscent of Chuckie Dolls, accompanied by mysterious bandage wrapped owners. The video certainly matches the name of the song, so go check out the music video here.
