MOONZz - TOP 5 SUMMER JAMS

It's the first of March - which means for us on the west coast, summer is just days away!  So, it's time to bring back our Top 5 Summer Jams for 2016  - where we feature an artist's voice on tracks they are listening to, making, or just loving - either way it's all things amazing! Our girl MOONZz is kicking things off which I could not be more happy about - she's been killing it lately and we love to show her love whenever we can! She has selected a very dreamy group of jams that would be chill on any summer's eve ... solid! Thanks MOONZz for setting the mood!

This song is just so close to me that I had to pick it.Through it all, I wrote this song that helped me cope and ultimately rise above a toxin in my life. Dejà Vu is a feeling I've felt before - the rawest form of heartbreak - and then happily haunting the one that hurt me most.

RÜFÜS - Say A Prayer For Me
I've been lucky enough to meet the talented trio & it's been the best feeling to hear how far they've come. Tyrone's voice is so raw and I've always loved that about their music.

Taylor McFerrin - Decisions (ft. Emily King)
Taylor's production is immaculate - he's easily one of my favorite producers, specifically on Brainfeeder. Beautiful pockets filled with percussive velvet. His collaboration with Nai Palm (of Haitus Kaiyote) is also one of my favorites.

Touch me in the morning speaks loud without saying much.

Tycho - Adrift
This song is straight gold. I listen to this almost everyday- driving around LA; refocusing, and seeing everything come to life. 

PARTY THIEVES & LAZY BOYZ - NO GRAVITY

A few weeks ago I was talking with Party Thieves's manager and he called me a newbie! I was having a convo with him via facebook while driving and using my hands free device - when I talk it types! We were talking about shows in SF and I asked about Party Thieves and my phone typed "they" instead of "he" and I was called a newbie! Granted this manager guys is a homie who I heart very much so he is definitely allowed to bust my balls ..... but you never know if a convo will end up on BB one late night when I can't sleep and feel like night blogging! I digress, this New York producer is bananas good, and I may be a newbie to his scene but at least I've arrived! Today he released a new original "No Gravity" with fellow creators Lazy Boyz that has everything feeling just right with it's glitchy beats and bass vibes - I'm super into this one! GRAVEZ - ECCO (FT. TEK.LUN)

It's late Monday night, I've been working for 13 hours straight now, and I think it is definitely time for some night blogging! Tonight's theme will be all things low - because I have a handful of tracks that will shake the walls with the shear force of bass! Atlanta producer Gravez is not fucking around with this one - and he just put up this new track "Ecco ft. We've kinda been nerding out over this producer for a  minute, and I'm not gonna lie, I'm super excited to have this premiere today! San Holo came into our lives last year with his brilliant track "Fly" and we instantly fell head over heals - keeping a close watch on all the pretty things he put into the world.  He also made our "Ones To Watch in 2016" list, and this next original is exactly why we think he's the bee's knees.  "New Sky" drops today via Monstercat for some next level future feels to kick off your Monday morning vibes! With glitchy beats, synthy melodies and all kinds of delicious  , this track is sure to rise you up into your happy place and swirl! This is awesome! French producer Klingande released his latest original track this week and it's packed full of the best feels ever! "Losing U ft. Daylight" is pure deep disco house heaven, and this one has a huge dose of sunshine to kill your wintertime blues! ON PLANETS - BRIEF PAUSE

Swoon! Can On Planets even make a bad song? I really don't think it is possible! Every single track he has put into the world we have gone gaga over - we can't say enough positive things about this young Canadian producer ... he's the bee's knees!! Yesterday On Planets dropped his first original track, which we would have gotten up quicker but I've been sick and buried in SXSW planning - but better late than never! "Brief Pause" is absolutely stunning! Light and swirly vocals over draggy syncopated synthy beats - there is no way anyone could not love this! Grab a free download HERE!

IMAD ROYAL - VAGABOND

Ok I'm gonna keep the heat streak going right here. This is the first time we've done a post about this well traveled artist and wow what a story! A college dropout, metal drummer and refugee for a summer, Imad Royal has seen some days. Eventually ending up in LA from Lebanon fleeing the numerous struggles going on over there, Imad has made short work of the music game with fantastic original productions "Down For Whatever," "Passenger" and now "Vagabond." "Vagabond" starts low key, but the vocals arrive quickly setting the tone for the rest of the tune. Equal parts R&B, electronic and pop this track has some legitimately broad appeal. The track is somewhat moody, but yet darkly majestic with such a great hook with the line of the record's title 'vagabond.' Excited to see the tremendous potential in this up-and-coming talent. 

INSTRUM - NIGHT ROLLS (FT. SOMNI)

Oh man it's been a busy week for music, and I know it's not gonna get any less for a while. Good problem to have though because we have soo many tasty jams to send your way! Instrum is no stranger to our home page, and we were lucky enough to have premiered his Chainsmoker's "Roses" and A-Trak's "We All Fall Down" remixes. Well now we saw that Instrum has released his first major single "Night Rolls" out on the Armada Deep imprint. Infusing tropical sounds, deep bass, guitar and infectious lyrics by Somni, Instrum is setting the bar high for his first original production. So excited to be involved in this evolution of a spectacular up and coming talent.
